Anyone who was wondering about thier trip, they are about 2 hours away from my home. They will be stopping in here to rest for a while. Thier RV park actually turned out to be but maybe 5 miles from my place on the highway.
So far they say everything is ok and they are having a wonderful time. I will DEFINATLY get pictures of them and thier babies ( the doggie and bird) and I will post them with NO SHAME! haha!
Will do. :-)
I am going to set up my laptop so they can sign on and give thier own version of thier trip as well.
When they get there pretend you're not home...they'll love it! hehehe

Dys' birthday present finally arrived - he will get it on their return to ABQ.

As she hits the ground breathless and Dys is recovering from having his bum impaled with some steel toed combat boots I shall take WONDERFUL pictures.

Lunch menu:
I know they have been on the road for days so i am going to make them a wonderful home cooked meal.
I am going to make a semi-warm salad.
On a bed of cold romaine, I am putting red bell pepper and sweet onion cooked until they are soft in just a little bit of olive oil.
Portabella mushroom tops sliced in thin long pieces cooked on med-low heat in vinagerette, some baby tomoates, soft broccoli, and red pear slices for garnish.
Seasoned tempeh for a topping.
I hope they enjoy it. :-)
Dys will love the tempeh!
but he will wonder where the food is :-)

shewolfnm, just keep in mind that Dys doesn't like chicken. A holdover from his youth when chicken the family raised kept them fed during hard times.

I dont eat chicken myself. So no worries. :-)
I know he likes tofu, and I am very good at preparing some wonderful tofu dishes. I am going to keep lunch very simple though. Salad ( as listed above) and some fruits for desert.
More of a relax and enjoy your stay type of a meal then anything else.

I doubt Gus would ever show up to one. He is afraid one of his goats might escape or somethin' .
Don't overprepare, shewolfnm. Just enjoy the company.

They are a BLAST.
Even little Bean loved it. She is at the age where she is stand-offish with strangers , but she couldnt get enough of Dys or Diane.
