I am so glad someone dissed the Jersey Shore. Good. Stay away.

Here's how it goes for us.

We take the train from New York City to the ____________ station. They MEET us with a car from the B&B. The beach is wide, the water cold, but in the past nine seasons, clear, (one incident of jellyfish). There are several good restaurants within walking distance and others are a taxi ride away ($5.00).

We sit under our umbrellas on the smoke-free sands watching the fishing tour boats and the oiled up bodies pass by. There is room for you, but please take the advice of the Jersey Shore declaimers and go to the Hamptons --THERE is some cold water for you.

Joe(wave from the fishing boats, that's me with the binoculars) Nation

My brother-in-law was from Joisey and went to college in Alabama then ended up in Virginia. Believe it or not, Frank, he was an altar boy who refused to let my sister bless the cemetery where he is now buried.

Deja vu, right?

Actually, I used to have to drive through New Jersey to get to New York when I was still trying to move into the city. I remember it being filled with a lot of bucolic forested areas.

Ooh, I used the word bucolic. Cool.

Hiya Frankie, how's it swinging?

NEW JERSEY TRANSPORTATION:
New Jersey drivers were ranked the 3rd worst in the nation by Overdrive, a truckers' magazine. How damning an indictment can you get?

New Jersey: the porn state
In completely unsurprising news, more imported porn has been destroyed by federal authorities in New Jersey than any other state.
The New Jersey international bulk mail center apparently gets almost all surface mail from Europe.

All right, so they built this monument called High Point Monument on the highest point in New Jersey. It's a pretty creative concept. Anyhow, the rest of New Jersey kind of sucks after this point. Mostly swampland and muddy fields. Oh yeah, the other thing about New Jersey is it's infested with ticks.

Do come back soon!

Yeah, right! As Kicky points out it's also full of Broccoli. Yuk!

In New Jersey we process hazardous waste into food stuffs and sell it to the rest of the country....so we have no significant stockpiles, if that is what you are asking.
