Beth - you have allergy med experience - ever tried alavert? Side effects? What was the type you use - tavist?

Tavist is the only allergy med that doesn't give me any side effects. The others either knock me out or give me a hangover.

He's packed his silverware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's working on the kitchen!

Of course, he's packing ALL OVER the kitchen. I had to shove some boxes aside to get out the back door, but still!

They're picking up all his stuff tomorrow, aren't they?! So he'll probably be up all night packing, right? But it'll all be gone by this time tomorrow! HOORAY!!!!!

And then his flight out is on Saturday, right?

JUST TWO MORE DAYS!!!

(I'd make him spend them cleaning. It's not like he'll have anything else to do around there.)

One correction - he flies out on sunday.

I know, just stick it out. But, seriously, there are 4 large boxes on the floor in the kitchen, junk over all the counters. It's a good thing I bought food to take home tonight, there's no cooking to be had in that room right now.

Just was told he'll be packing for at least another 3-5 hours. I hope D sees this and stays at her boss's place.......... I'll probably/hopefully sleep through it.

But it's almost over!!

THAT will be fabulous.

(New HM#3 better be a sweetheart...)

(I mean that not from a rant-reading perspective -- if she's not, rant -- but from a "gawd I hope the stress level goes down about 20 notches for them" perspective.)

I got up at 4:30 am and he was still packing. Scrrrreeeeeeiiitchchct! That taping drives me crazy. He said the truck would come at 8am. His stuff is still here and he's asleep. I expected to be here as long as needed because my sister has been dropping of the nephew at my house on the way to work and I have been staying with him until after lunch. But, in true form, they want me to come there this morning. They told me this at 9 am. So, now they'll have to wait a little while. The problem is that the cat needs to be shut up somewhere safe so he doesn't leave the house through an open door. And, he needs to be shut up with food, water and liter. AND, I'd like him to be let out when it's all over.

I dunno if anyone remembers the frying fish dinner party from the beginning of the year. Sometime in the first 6 months, he held a party and made a Portuguese meal. The entre contained fried bacala. At the time, we were on this thread complaining of the smell which permeated the house and hung around for weeks. He saved the oil used in three little containers, and put them in a joint cuppoard. D and I wondered why and watched to see if they ever got used or tossed. They're still there. I moved them closer to his stuff.

i have no civilized words left to describe him. not only did he do everything last minute (whatever, we expected that), he also didn't think of what he'll sleep on after he ships off his bed.he just assumed we'll help him haul the big double mattrass from the basement up for the two nights and then back to the basement on sunday. i've had a migraine for 3 days, spent all day today throwing up, and kris is sick. we both refused. he called a friend of his to do this at 11pm. Basement is right under the landlord's apartment who sleeps at this hour. i told him he should have though of this earlier and make arrangements. he could have had the landlord's air mattrass for the two nights, if he just asked us or her in some advance. NOT at 10pm.... Anyway, they gave up for whatever reason and he's sleeping on a yoga mat. Tomorrow, he's planning on going to the Cape for the day. No idea when he's planning on emptying kitchen cabinets, but i'm pesonally glad that he's planning to be away tomorrow. and i'm also planning to put all that he leaves behind on the counter in the kitchen and tell him to deal with it.

Aaaaaah. The little shitontoast is still on the cape, we're watching Mastroiani's Divorce Italian Style, I'm sipping Framboise.

Tomorrow at this time we'll be having a little spontanneous party, with Portuguese wine and all flowing. Life......is GOOOOOD!

It's ours after we empty it of all his junk. My guess is he won't be cleaning it out.

nope, few more HOURS!!!!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

he has some friends over, hopefully to bestow all of his leftover crap onto. cause i sure as hell don't want any of it. food that he leaves open containers (and we've had some moths, on and off, though probably clothes moths) or shelves that he sawed off from the rest of the table....simply crap. he's radically cheap this one, or at least selectively radically cheap. will spend a lot of money on himself on some things (electronics mostly) but then he won't buy things like a fan or a set of drawers, both of which he can get here under $20. Not that i care, as long as the crap is out of the house.

Sawed off drawers have gone down. I wonder if his friend helped with the big dresser while he was here. I particularly liked the popping of the bubble wrap outside Dasha's door before she'd had her coffee.

Wouldn't it be funny if you had hired an exterminator and he was
standing right outside with his big truck and waiting for the roach to leave Laughing

well, he does know we're having a party.

and for those who were suggesting yelling, well let's just say we had a nice long good bye round of it. i yelled, kris yelled, he yelled. an appropriate farewell, methinks.
