after the yelling exchange, kris and i spent the rest of the day in the garden. she was gardening, i was, well, sort of cleaning. i sweapt and scrubbed the large paved sitting/barbecue area, and a set of stairs. oh, and i scrubbed and hosed down a side of the house. the house is squeaky clean from the outside, including the ground.

no, i don't do such things regularly. i was just fuming angry, and needed something to do. when i split up with the Monster, I was trimming hedges with hand scissors for three days. This time, i washed a house... oh well. it's therapeutic. now we're fumigating the house. especially kitchen and bathroom. our good bye consisted of "bye". nothing more.

he did attempt to clean, of course he didn't have enough time...but more than that, he just doesn't know how to clean. he left plenty of open food stuffs in the kitchen we promptly got rid of. Kris is fuming and fumigating.... but it's all much better already. guests are coming in two hours, bearing home baked gifts and drinks. tomorrow is a brand new day!

IT IS OFFICIALLY OVER! now, dear a2k viewers, you'll have to go and find another trainwreck to watch, for our new housemate seems normal. she might be coming to the party tonight (we pitched it as a midsummer party, nothing to do with the Shitontoast, as he deserves no such attention).

Phew.

Check the wardrobe, fast.

One of our uncivilised housemates left a sheet encrusted with six months worth of the exudations of self love when HE left.

When my first love left (I was Catholic, by a hair, then, his family was very no on that), well, I don't want to go into my long distress.

When my second left (he was gay, surprise!), I took four years of drawing and painting classes.

When my husband left, I built a studio and walked or ran miles and miles.

When my business partnership had cracks, mixed feelings, but I'm more me now.

Now, uh, on such occasions, I might go out for pie.

May he have a safe and sure flight away.

He's gone!!!

Woo-hoo!

I hope that not only will you not find a disgusting sheet (EW) but that you won't find any other unpleasant reminders of his former presence either.

To the cleansing ritual, depending on attachment or entire lack of anything like attachment, rituals will vary.

I was going to add to my list a break from an early business partner who quoted Jung and Casteneda very often, when my to-be-hub and I went out for Chinese food to celebrate.

We probably need a thread on rituals (or maybe we already have one).

An old friend had a PBS (or similar) show - called Ceremonies of Innocence - on rituals. I never saw it, but I'm sure it was more intellectual than I am thinking of.

You wont know what to do with yourselves now like the goat.

My daughter is having share house angst in Sweden. She shares with 3 other girls but 1 gilr has her sister living in her room. so there are actually 4 girls (but dont tell the landlord) because they use the same bedroom, "according to the 2 girls sharing" that means the 2 share 1/2 of the 1/3 each girl is supposed to pay.

Did that make sense? probably not.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......

I'm finally starting to feel more relaxed about the whole thing. It only took about 6.5 hours, loads of gardening, stabbing at clay soil, several drinks and some riotous laughter. Good friends at the party tonight!

After gardening, I beelined inside to drench the bathroom in bleach-fantastic. I scrubbed, I swiped, I mopped the friggin walls! There are still hairs around here and there, but they are well-cleaned. And then I took a shower and still felt clean by the time I left the bathroom!

Phew. Thank you all for being there/here through this.

As to dadpad's daughter. I have had a situation like that in the past, but instead of a sister it was the girlfriend of a house mate. I wanted to decrease the rent, but they argued they were using just one bedroom. I countered that 4 people with one bathroom, instead of three, was a rent issue. They did pay more in utilities. (and they broke up while living there. And they were still easier to live with than HM#3).

Utilities seem to be the problem area as these are included in the rental figure.

She'll have to sort it out on her own because "I'm a big girl now dad"

Sorry dag and lilk I have diverted your thread.

Back to the Post HM#3 celebrations.

puhleeeze. any diversion is good. HM#3 is done! He and his tightie whities forever gone to Denmark. Some other sorry unsuspecting arse will be in for a looong ride with him. We sat in the kitchen tonight, chatting, just the way we used to before he moved in. Felt sooo nice.
