Here's a live shot of Boston right now, which is not very clear because of the blizzard:

Check out DC: http://www.earthcam.com/usa/dc/metrosquare/

Husker - I could take some film shots, but they wouldn't be current by the time I got them online. Check out the weblink Heeven posted.... no snow, eh?

It's a mess in Boston. Looks like we're headed for 20+ inches of snow.

I was looking at some pictures of D.C. on the internet. Wow! I feel for all of you in the midst of that storm. Take care, and stay inside if you can.

Hey Husker - Click on the link, scroll down to Photo Gallery and click on Snow in the East

Chat - it's not actually a problem. Many people didn't have work today, school was already closed. Other people were sent home early from work. It's not terribly cold to be outside. Actually, it might be fun to walk around.... maybe I'll take out the camera.

Good idea, littlek! It is unusual times like that that I love to grab the camera and get out there to take pictures that can't ordinarily be taken. Maybe you'll post one of two of them?

Okay... kids safely delivered, and we are back at the drafty old manse.

Stay off the roads.

re: insulation. Probably blown in. Mrs. SP has misgivings about foam... apparently my favorite mother-in-law got badly stung with UFFI years back... but there's new stuff on the market. The only thing about blown in insulation is you hafta have all the wiring done beforehand, and we ain't there yet.

So, can you get the wiring AND insulation done by next winter at least?

I hate this damn weather.

There's no better day than today to spend hours playing Grand Theft Auto on Playstation and destroying my brain.

And friends, remember: Buy plenty of milk, bread, and duct tape, so you have them. Because, uh, milk and bread will keep you alive, or something.

And the duct tape would be for entertainment purposes?

Um, according to the many idiots out there, duct tape will save your life in case of a nuclear attack.

I just like it for my dates.
