My heros are people who volunteer their help week in and week out, not when there's a specific tragedy.
I used to do a lot of volunteer work but have been remiss lately.

Charity should be spontaneous. Calculated altruism is an affront.

Dear Sandra,

My sink backed up and made a huge mess in my kitchen. Do you think you could find the time to stop by and help me clean it up? Please wear something easily removable that can be thrown in the wash.

Thanks again!

Of course you know I'm a shill for Bear's threads...nothing like a cynical post to stir up a little interest.
Sandra Bullock is not on the "A" list for actresses like Nicole Kidman and Julia Roberts...

I can't believe the first one got passed. Every once in awhile I see a movie that is so bad and such a horrible idea I think to myself "Somebody is going to get fired for that one."

Is it compassion or just a tax right-off to keep the IRS at bay?

Tax write off? Sure. Give away a million dollars to deduct 300,000.00 from agi.

I think it is impressive. Honestly, I've never cared for her (Sandra) at all but what she has done is remarkable. I wish more celebrities would take a clue from this one and stop bitching about how awful this administration is and actually get off of their asses and throw some of their own fat cat money around.
