I'm a Christian, and I know that when I die, I'm not going to go to heaven. Why? Because you, or anybody else in this world, don't go to heaven.
One of the most common verses mentioned in the Bible, John 3:16; "For God so loved the world...". Look 3 verses before that.
John 3:13 (NIV)
No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.
NO ONE! That's about as simple as you're going to find it. No one has ever gone to heaven. How can no one see the simplicity in this verse? I'm steadfast that this verse alone leaves no room for argument. BUT, I'm open for anyone to try. For the record as well, John 3:13 isn't the only verse I have, but I'm saving them for anyone who wants to talk about this.
I don't follow baseball, but Washington Nationals... I don't really care. But that's beside the point. I'm open to people talking about life after death...not baseball.
It's not a waste of 'prime real estate'. Maybe God has a purpose for it that He has chosen not to tell you.

@MontereyJack,
Oh, and just a tip, instead of throwing insults at me, maybe try to defend your beliefs (I'm guessing you're a Christian) and show me proof that you do go to heaven. I'm sure God would be a lot happier with you if you could correct someone than throw blind, aimless, insults. So maybe try to listen to what I'm saying before you jump the gun, and reply like a mature person would do.
According to the Bible (written by men several years after events occurred, translated often and new versions over the years as well, which sometimes alters meanings), in John 14, verse. 2: Jesus says "In my father's house are many mansions, if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."
If they have a bowling league, I'm sure it's candlepins, because here in New England we know that ten pin bowling is purely an invention of the devil.

@Christian0912,
I tell you I'm not a Christian, so why do you "guess" I am one? And I called you a heathen mockingly because you didn't get Edgar's basic cultural reference with "dancing cheek to cheek".
