Had a go at 'Little Creatures Pale Ale' today - a touch too fruity for my palate...
I do expect a pale ale to sneak up and leave one drooling and unable to string together words into sentences.

That may be the reason behind a lot of the one line responses in this thread.
Goose Island 312
Just bought a 5 Gallon keg of this for my kegerator, if you like the wheat style beers it is highly reccommended.
koestrizer schwarzbier from germany, a very dark malty brew. i like it at dinner time when visiting in germany.
of course, i must mention the beer coming from my hometown ...
Just bought another 6 of this beer. A great IPA.
Good to see you Sublime!
Dogfish is A-OK in my book. They have it at Sunset...then again, that bar has everything.
Sunset....? Down the street from that sport's bar we met at?
What? We met? Who the hell are you again?
Yes, it's right up the street from there. Something like 112 beers on tap.
Good to see you too littlek, the dogfish head is some good beer.
Hamburger, I'll keep an eye out for those at a local spot called Resi's Bierstube:
For German authenticity and warmth, it's tough to beat Resi's. Since 1973, the tavern has been run by owners Herbert and Ingeborg Stober, originally from Karlsruhe, Germany. Old immigrants and young urbanites alike frequent the restaurant-bar for its sausage-heavy menu and its wide selection of mostly imported beer. There are 15 German brews on tap and another 150 foreign beers in the bottle. Weiss beer lovers have a selection of three taps and 30 bottles all their own. In the summer, Resi's has one of the best, and certainly one of the most well-hidden, beer gardens in the city -- two large maple trees tower over a flower box-trimmed patio.
Yes, but the downstairs is only restaurant tables.
Wow, this thread makes me want to stop drinking cheap piss. I used to only drink good beer. Then I ran out of money. But Halloween is a time to celebrate and I'll celebrate wtih some good ****. Something dark.
My favorite microbrew has to be Riverwest Stein. The Riverwest Brewery in Milwaukee brews this along with East Side Dark and Cream City Pale Ale. Riverwest Stein is on tap in every bar worth a **** in the Brew City.
You Chicagoans, last time I checked, can only get it at Sheffields, near the Belmont stop.
Happy freakin' weekend! I've got my Santa Suit and my fake blood and I'm ready to go.
My personal favorites when I was drinking...alas I had to stop...were Piels and when I could get it Iron City from out of Pittsburgh. Piels was more a matter of sentimentality than superb taste and in fact changed from one batch to the next. I.C. was just about the same idea on sentimentality but at least the quality never wavered and they were good enough to ship a few cases monthly to a local bar where I would consume to my hearts content (and my liver's misery).
I preferred bottled over canned and except for the aforementioned brands, I was open to just about any beer although I always had a better feel about beer drawn on tap.
Back in the day (college) we drank whatever sold for less than a buck/6-pack at the A & P. Our choices were Schaefer, Piels, Ballantine, Rheingold, Genesee, Utica Club.
Can anyone guess where I went to school? The last two should give it away...
I'm seeing upstate New York possibly Syracuse University...
Close enough, Sturgis! Good call.
when we were totally broke and scraping penny's we bought coors or grain belt, I didn't discover beer until in my 20's.
