I'm still pretty new to the "hoppy" beers, but I love them! I just tried some Sierra Nevada Torpedo "extra IPA" and it is great!

I like Flying Dog Double IPA a lot too. It will definitely wake up the taste buds!

@Buffalo,
I used to like Yuenglings Chesterfield Ale, but I recently had a glass of it at the brewery and thought it wasnt as good as I recall.

@littlek,
THATS MADE IN DELAWHERE IN A SMALL TOWN NAMED MILTON.
The Dogfish Head Beer Brewery. The owners drive around in these really funky old ARmy 4X4's all camoed up .

@farmerman,
It's not exactly local, but it's more local than Cali wine (or Italian) and Stone brewery ales.

@Buffalo,
Buff you obviously have the most exquisite palate appreciating as you do the Sierra products. You should try also Ruthless Rye

When I lived in Mi there was a brewery there and they used to make a great real heavy beer that you could almost stand a straw up in, it was over 9% abv. Sadly those days are gone & Its difficult to find anything that compares to it here!!!
