You're making a lot of assumptions, tres, about these so-called anti-Americans. They've been spared hardship in their lives? They al want to live in some other country?

Have you done demographic research, or are these assumptions you've made? Because they sound like what one hears on various TV political shows. The ones where everyone shouts over each other, reciting their preconceived notions over and over.

It's called an opinion. Unlike a lot of people here, I don't pretend it is otherwise.

Did anyone catch Hannity & Colmes the other day when they had the guy on who spoke at the San Francisco peace rally? The guy got so flustered that neither of the hosts completely agreed with him that he started shouting and screaming his anti-everything views. It was hilarious - not to be missed. They even threatened to turn off his mike. The guy was a loser.

As much a loser as Hannity and Colmes - their mikes have been off for a long, long time - another unAmerican show!

This is precisely why you don't find any successful liberal talk radio hosts. The ultra-liberal point of view can only survive in an intellectual vacuum.

(Apologies to anyone who thinks these comments refer to him or her, but then, I can hardly be blamed for the viewpoints you choose to espouse.)

Bill - it's the #1 debate show in America. Comon. What's more American than a debate?

By the way, I'm no Fox bigot either. I watch all the major networks for news, including CNN. In fact I thought CNN did the best job in the 2002 election coverage by far. At least you could read the tallys. On Fox they were so small you needed a magnifying glass on my 40" RPTV.

cjhsa, debate - that is certainly debatable. Hannity is a total idiot and Colmes is his flunky.

"The ultra-liberal point of view"? Whatever does that mean?

It's funny, in the not-so-distant past, the word "liberal" was a slander from the left, because liberals were thought to be too wimpy. The term "ultra-liberal" wouldn't have meant anything. Now it apparently means anyone who disagrees with Bush's policies too vehemently.

Un-American, ultra-liberal...My, there's a lot of finger pointing in this discussion.

Conservatives have been yelling and screaming for years that:

Well, here's the latest from Mr. Ridge: Be prepared, not afraid, he advises. Have at it, all!

Friends, we have a Hannity and Colmes watcher here. Do we allow this sort of thing? Are we extra kind because someone of this level needs a little extra guidance? Not sure what to do here... Do Hannity and Colmes have any redeeming qualities? (I no longer have a TV, but the last time I saw them, I decided the Cookie Monster was a relative genius.

No, there's a lot of free speech and discussion going on.

I use the term "ultra-liberal" because I've come to realize that a lot of the questionable claims, actions, and thinking I have attributed to liberals in the past is actually endemic only in a very small, very vocal, and very poorly informed group. I'm going to call them ultra-liberal, to distinguish them from their more rational, reasonable brethren.

And if you have a problem with that term, consider how often you see the phrases "right wing", "right wing extremist" and other analogs thrown around in these discussions.

Whatever Tartarin. I'm very sorry your TV got repoed. Maybe a real job would help? I have a great offer for you. You can work from home and make thousands a week. All it takes is your signature and $5000 to get started.

I'm the one who put those posters up on the utility poles, cjhsa... Cancelled my sat TV when Bush got elected. Didn't want to watch the mess. Hearing and reading about it is bad enough. But seriously, not having TV "news" and "debate" is the best thing I ever did for my mood. Wow! Try it -- you'll like it!

Ridge has gone from being a fairly well respected public servant to being a buffoon. All this idiocy must (seriously) be taking a toll on him.

This is the Ready Campaign website:

This is the parody of it:

It's pretty comical to go back and forth between them... Laughing
