CalamityJane - Nope, you have that all wrong. It's the SOUP, not the matzoh, that is the "penicillin". The matzoh ball is what gives you strength, after the soup does its work!

Alan King used to do this bit about chicken soup and its relationship to penicillin. Apparently, Campbell's Manhandler's, according to King, does not qualify. In order to be truly therapeutic, the soup has to be made, from scratch, by your mother, who hovers lovingly around your sickbed.
