I have people in my family who are heavy into the porn business. I grew up around it for a few years. It was more of a situational job then anything else. I dont have a degree in fine arts ( pun intended ) nor do I have any experience in film making.
Truthfully, anyone can make a porn film. There is NOT alot to it , no special effects necessary, props.. ahh you can do it in your own home if you like. It sounds like a bigger title then it really is. All you do, is turn on the camera, make sure the set is clean, the people are clean, give them an idea of what you want and let them go at it. Pause every now and then, change your camera angle maybe a little of the set and Wwaaa-laah, You got a porn.

You're too bashful...every director is an artist. How do you channel your artistic talents in a film?

Truth be told, most porn is made with expencive home cameras. No big tricks, no elaborate sets. Nothing. It is a big CHANCE that your movie will work. Your 'talents' really depend on actors, setting and lights. If you have an idea of what you want then you REALLY have to have good communication skills. Again.. the out come in porn has nothing to do with whos behind the camera. not like regular films where the director/producer is the backbone of the production.

Directing a porn is more talk then work. Many takes, many camera angles.. The ones who truly make your work sellable are the editors. Cutting, splicing, touch ups are part of the finished product and have little / nothing to do with who was behind the camera.
I guess that goes with all movies though.
