Teaching, Deb! & thankfully not a forever job!
The people seem lovely, the pay will be a NEW EXPERIENCE, but it means a little more travel (in my brand new baby Echo!) that I'd anticipated.
It's not that I don't WANT to work .... It's more that I'm been totally STUPIFIED by all the recent, rapid changes in my life. All very necessary, but stupifying never-the less! Shocked Shocked Shocked
Ahhhh ... wish me luck! At least I have 2 weeks to adjust to the idea! Very Happy

We have cried havoc and unleashed the birds of war now, have we?

'kin' great!

as the general in charge of the birds of war i'm perplexed as what to do with them.

penguins don't fly<what kinda of f'in birds are these>, so no airforce. scrap the plan of dropping, droppings on the aussie bunny army.

penguins ain't exactly swift on their feet either, so no running them down.

oh well, we will resort to subterfuge. as penguins are always attired for formal occasions, we will have a old fashioned ballroom dance. our penguin army will entice the wimmin wabbits to dance. if you have never witnessed those waddling penguins dance, it's a sight to behold. total chaos on the floor. bunnies will be bruised and bunny feet will be stomped! vengence will be ours!!!!!!

pretty sad, huh? oh well whaddya expect with penguins?

better go call the chihuahua's

did the msn chat thing with andrewt of abuzz fame <wish he would show up here>. kinda weird. could be because of the distance, but the conversation was sort of like the old a2k chat room. we kept talking over each other.

with your accent (aussie) and mine (hawaiian) we would end up just laughing Laughing

What - it is the only unique name on Guam? weird, huh?

Hmmm - chatting with Aa - that would be great - the thing is, you folk all sound soooooo American! It quite takes me back! You sound nothing like I would have imagined - it is strange. Actually - I have spoken to Beth and such by phone - i have only voice chatted with Craven and Lenny - Abuzz and A2k Lenny - not the original. 'tis a pity she is not around much - she is the quickest wit I have met.

Very Hawaiian. Hmm. That would be an unusual name anywhere, I think, especially as, to the best of my understanding, "Hawaiian" is a first name, unique to this guy:

Well, they say you learn something new every day; this is the day they may even be right. (They don't say, however, how many things you forget....)

Patio - you have, indeed, in the bowl of your morning flung the stone that puts the stars to flight - but the ripples of your comment - at least of your visual comment - break bootlessly upon my understanding.

Have I finally pulled out an American pop-culture reference that is lost on the bonny? Well, hoo-ray for me.

He's the mascot of a beverage (perhaps erstwhile; I haven't seen it in some time). Here's a can...
http://theimaginaryworld.com/pix512.jpg

He is also a political figure. In his campaign he employed a nichname in an effort to show that he was the true salt, that he was one of the people. Sadly, those cats were hep to his multi-billion dollar sugar-water empire, and did not fall for his ruse. (He would have been a great, sweet, red ruler.)
http://theimaginaryworld.com/pic297.jpg

He bears a superficial resemblance to the Kool Aid guy, but he's far more intelligent, a bit capricious, and far less trustworthy. Great to party with, though. The Kool Aid guy is shown here during a hard stretch in the late '80s; he was hit hard by the market crash in '87, but he savvily invested his few remaining funds in Microsoft and is now quite comfortable. So comfortable, in fact, that he seldom has to appear in public any more.

"Bootless" is great. I had an old acting teacher who was in love with that word. "Bootless." A good, hearty Anglo-Saxon word. (No offense to you Romance speakers out there; your languages are terrific, really melodic and beautiful. But when your words got brought into English they lost their force and musicality. We've castrated your words, and for that, I apologize.)
