Merry Andrew I see that you are stealing Rip Booker's lines again.

That's a funny story Deb, it's almost as funny as the day I had to go over to Merry Andrews's school and he invited me into his classroom wherein he introduced me to his class and one of his darlings piped up and said "Gee Andy I thought you said you were marrired to a 22 year old blond with blue eyes."

Pass the fasteeth sweetheard.

Reminds me of a bit of Tom Lehrer...

I hold your hand in mine dear
I press it to my lips
I take a healthy bite
From your dainty fingertips
My joy would be complete, dear
If you were only here
But still I keep your hand
As a precious souvenir

The night you died I cut it off
(I really don't know why)
And now each time I kiss it
I get blood stains on my tie

I'm sorry now I killed you
For our love was something fine
So until they come to get me
I shall hold your hand in mine

Seaglass!!!

Longtime, no see! (or sea!)

Howya going!?

Deb - great yarn about being an old lady! Or probably not! Laughing

A few years back, a friend and I were going into one of the flasher hotels in Sydney, for a drink or nosh or something. It must have been a feed, I think, because I recall I was reasonably dressed, and that's pretty rare! It's the sort of hotel that has a uniformed chap standing out the front, greeting cars (?G'day car, how's the gas?), opening doors and the like. As we approached the doors, a couple of lads - late teens to twenties also approached. We arrived at the same time, and the doorman said - "Stand back for the lady" - so I did - and no-one went through the doors! My mate had to nudge me to get me to go through!

You know, Margo, we hear so much about the eccentricities of Australians. I always discredited the stories. Not anymore

Thank you for your inquiry Margo. I have been quite ill for the past three months, and I will be going to Queen's Hospital in Honolulu for cat scans on my lungs which is scary since an onocologist in Boston found some spots about six years ago and has me get xray & cat scans periodically.
So my energy level is quite low and trying to take care of a ten room house and landscaping by myself which is rather taxing - plus trying to survive on my small pensions on an island where the cost of living is quite high.

But us "old" gray panthers do the best we can.
