Arrow?! THAT'S an ARROW!? How the hell was I supposed to know that? Everyone thought some teenage boy, probably Ethan, had made a contract with some teenage girl, clearly Ruth ..."this is what you'll get...a dick and a roof"...hey! Is that what you are trying to tell me, Deb? Is that the Promised Land?

What sort of answer is that? We aren't goddamn Greeks here...we don't like ambiguity. Desert voices ought to be commited. Like, "I give you this land where other people are already living, but **** em."

Blatty - it can get mighty lonely out there on RMP patrol, can't it? Or have you been sampling some strange fungi again. Either way, time for a little R'n'R (and maybe some therapy).

Actually deb, did you know that the oracle at Delphi got busted at one point for taking bribes (from one particular family) and then speaking in accordance with the briber's wishes?

dear mr pacifiedh2o

You dropped the Canadian from our brave and manly constabulary. I'll refrain from cursing you, and merely point out that if this force had been established in your country, it would be RUMP.

I imagine this travail forty years in.

You know, I've looked at a map once or twice in my life. The trip they took -- not a forty year trip. More like a four month trip. So what were they really doing out there in the desert. It must have been a hell of a lot more than just wandering.

Worshipping Baal, losing and seeking their mannas, taking tablets from on high, fornicating and something rude with goats, I believe.

The way i understand it--by heresay only, of course--is that goats do not consider fornicating rude, so long as you bring them flowers, or some other edible greenery . . .

My experience suggests that Set and his goat are both unecessarily romantic.

So, in fact, your avatar is a member of the Northwest Mounted Police, eh?

I knew it got lonely out there in the territories, but i didn't know goats strayed that far north . . . but i bow to your superior knowledge, based upon extensive experience . . .

It's a hard country, up here. You have to drink a quart of anti-freeze just to take a leak. Thanksgiving is celebrated on circumstance, rather than calendrically, you just wait until a grandparent dies. And no one uses the term 'love making'.

But my Sweetiepie and I dined at the Amish restaurant on Saturday, so i am proof against your pathos . . .
