Oh - I got a call late yesterday afternoon from my primary doc. They want me to see a surgeon, to make a determination about a biopsie............ I'm really PO'd right now. This is 100% fricking opposite of the Doc at the Radiology Clinic.
Steaming...................
Hmmm..... the primary is not a specialist. I think he/she is being cautious. Better to go and find out for sure, no?
husker- I can certainly understand your anger. But better safe than sorry. I have had a breast biopsy, and it turned out to be nothing with nothing. From what I have read over the years, most suspicious lumps are not malignant, but the docs have to make sure.
Take one day at a time, and try not to make yourself nuts about this. I know that that is difficult. Remember, you have a lot of people out here pulling for you!
The MD ordering the biopsy is calling the right shots. Most likely, the mass is benign. My poodle has a lump under his leg. THis is an acumulation of fat and is called a lipoma.
The Vet, stuck a little needle in the mass, withdrew some material and it turned out to be fat and no cells.
You'll be ok.. Just sit tight , relax and have a BUD!
