Liontamer, just so you know, I didn't look at your picks before I made mine. It would have been entirely too easy to follow your lead and guarantee the yearly victory. However, when I looked yours over, we differ on SIX games. It's up for grabs, and should be interesting. Now if the teams that I think will and won't play up to their potential actually do my bidding........

San Diego
New York Giants
New England
Buffalo
Pittsburgh
Tampa Bay
Baltimore
Atlanta
Indianapolis
Kansas City
Seattle
Jacksonville
San Francisco
Philadelphia
Minnesota

Dallas (51)

Good luck and Happy New Year to all of you!

There is nothing inherently wrong in making the same picks as another player. Great minds sometime lie in the same gutter. So far, I have at lease one difference with the other six of you who have picked:
Denver
NYG
NE
NYG
Pitts
TBay
Balt
Atlanta
Indy
KC
Seattle
Jax
SF
Washington
Chicago
Dallas (48)

Still looking for Dragon, El-diablo, Panzade, George and Ray

A low place team is going to pull an upset ... but oh well.

rjb - just rechecked this weekend's schedule, and couldn't help but wonder - have the 'Niners already played sixteen games, or does their season only seem that long?

Ah, a footie thread on A2K, i've been looking for this.

So anyone watch Everton - Liverpool tonight? Peter Crouch has really come of age, hasn't he? Hard to see anyone stopping Chelsea this season though.

Johnboy stares at the screen, numbly. This is week 17, but every team has played only 15 games. I guess there a certain logic to this, cowdoc.

As for the last post by lumr. What can I say? Crunch is okay but it it too little, too late. Chelsea wins. I know less about British football than I do about American NFL. but it sounds good, doesn't it?

True enough, johnboy, but your post showing the Week 17 schedule has San Francisco at 3-13.

johnboy - I just found out Washington has not actually clinched a playoff spot, as I had thought. Please change my pick from Philadelphia to the Redskins, who have a lot more I the line than I had realized! The same thing is true for Carolina, so I would also like to change my pick from the Falcons to the Panthers. Thanks!

Thanks, El-Diablo, but you left out picking in the Detroit @ Pittsburgh game.

Cowdoc's change is duly noted. I hope I wasn't the source for your mis-information.

No, johnboy, I misinformed myself without any help from an outside source of any kind. I guess I've just killed off WAAAYY too many brain cells over the years. Now watch Philly and Atlanta pull off the upset, after I figured the 'Skins and Panthers would rest their starters. Such is life.

Thanks, El-diablo.

I still need picks from Dragon and Child of Light (and, of course, Panzade, who always comes in late). Let the nagging begin.

A penalty flag is thrown. Johnboy is charged with unnecessary nagging of Child of the Light.
I got off by a column. The nag should have been aimed at George. Sin Loi.
