I wouldn't say that, child. The Astros and White Sox filled it rather nicely. Helluva game!

I guess the Cubs fans are not rallying to the support of their fellow Chicagoans.

Week #7 comes to a close, bookended by Wilma affecting the games and the pickers. I hope all of our affected A2K freinds will quickly be back to normal.
This week's games turned out well for Child of the Light (11-3) and the winner. At (10-4) were Realjohnboy and LionTamerx. El-diablo and Gus ended up at (9-5) and Panzade was at (9-4). It is good, from rjb's perspective, that pan's having not being able to pick in the KC-Miami didn't end up affecting Child's being the week's victor.
George and Fbaezer finished at (8-6). Ray, Cowdoc and Dragon limped in at (7-7). And then there was Region (6-8).
Bbaptiste seems to be lost and Jpinmilwaukee also didn't play.

Cumulative Wins Minus losses for the year have Panzade (+33); Gus (+26); Child of Light and Cowdoc (+22); Johnboy, after a second decent week, is (+18); overtaking Region (+16). Liontamer is (+14); Dragon and El-diablo are (+10); George is at (+8); Bbaptiste is at (+7).
Right where they were at the beginning of the season are Fbaezer and Jpinmilw (0) and Ray, blushing upon reading this, is (-4).

Week #8's schedule will be posted in a bit. It is cold and wet in Virginia today and in the Blue Ridge Mountains it is snowing some. A reminder to us that soon NFL games will be played where and when they were meant to be played; on snowy fields.

The schedule for Week #8:
(the * indicates games between teams in the same conference---perhaps pertinent; perhaps not)

Oct 30 @ 1 pm:
Cleveland (2-4 for the season) @ Houston (0-6)
Green Bay (1-5) @ Cincinnatti (5-2)
Arizona (2-4) @ Dallas (4-3
*Chicago (3-3) @ *Detroit (3-3)
Oakland (2-4) @ Tennessee (2-5)
*Washington (4-2) @ *NY Giants (4-2)
Miami (2-4) @ New Orleans (2-5)
Jacksonville (4-2) @ St Louis (3-4)
Minnesota (2-4) @ Carolina (4-2)
@ 4 pm or so:
*Kansas City (4-2) @ *San Diego (3-4)
Tampa Bay (5-1) @ San Francisco (1-5)
Philadelphia (4-2) @ Denver (5-2)
@ 8:30 pm:
*Buffalo (3-4) @ *New England (3-3)
Monday, Oct 31 @ 9 pm:
*Baltimore (2-4) @ *Pittsburgh (4-2)

Atlanta, Indianapolis, the NY Jets and Seattle are idle.

As usual, Johnboy asks that you revew your picks to be sure you have all 14 games selected and don't forget the total number of points in the Monday night game. Good luck, yall.

Indeed, ever-so-modest Child of the Light. Two wins (weeks 4 and 7). And you missed the first two weeks due to Katrina. Very well done.
Region also has two wins (weeks 1 and 2) but has stumbled a bit since.
Gus, Cowdoc and Panzade have each taken home the honors once (weeks 6, 5 and 3, respectively).
