If you can't distinguish between a taco and a sandwich, you can't distinguish between a truth and a lie.

Now I understand everything.

@maxdancona,
Havent visited this site since last week so Ive missed further contributions by several of you who are busy trying to find flyshit in the pepper.

Quote:
Sweet bread is not BreadActually sweet "bread" is a bread, "SWEET BREADS" (plural) is a meaat product
Candy Corn is not corn.Again, "Sweet" modifies corn as a "genera" name all cndy corn is in the shape of corn kernels
Rice Cakes are not Cake. cake hs a plthora of meanings besides that which you are focusing upon. A "cake" is a compressed or shaped body made of its ingredients, such as a "cake " of soap
A Breakfast Sandwich is not a sandwich When a food is enjoyed does not delimit WHAT it is

And besides, the word sandwich is often used as a verb. We ue it in types of circuits and in stratigraphic cross sections.

I enjoy when everybody is sitting around like a bunch of rabbis discussing the Torah. Except we seem to dwell on the worldly.

@farmerman,
A taco is not a dish, it is both a noun and a verb (taquear), it is a way of eating. It is eating. Of course a breakfast taco is a taco.

So you have a chile relleno in front of you. What do you do? We make a taco. You don't.

Tortillas replace forks, knives and spoons. This is one thing Americans do not grasp.

@fbaezer,
Well, my breakfast this morning was a tortilla that I warmed and then added scrambled eggs and New Mexican Chile powder to, then rolling the tortilla around the eggs, grasping it in my hand at the bottom. Look, look, no fork, knife, or spoon!

@ossobucotemp,
So you had a breakfast burrito then? Not a sandwich.

@McGentrix,
I didn't call it a sandwich. I was responding to Pancho re americans needing utensils when eating a tortilla.

My own homemade burritos usually have beans and often other foods: cooked farro or rice, maybe some sausage, even greens. Varies every time because of the what is in the refrigerator element to my cooking. Always spice/peppers of some sort.

I think of the tortilla around eggs as a tortilla wrap, but I figure that is an americano description.

@ossobucotemp,
I had chicken breast, rice and chorizo in a tortilla for lunch, but it was a wet burrito so needed a knife and fork.

@fbaezer,
We use taco as a verb too, you know. It's something that happens to a bicycle wheel when it's damaged in a certain way.

@Sturgis,
I haven't looked at the video yet, looking forward to it, but this reminds me of that phenomenon of a few years ago, with crowds of russian skaters showing up and joining together to skate to Putting on the Ritz. I remember being enthralled.

I can't capture it (mac needs to be rebooted), but it's titled Flashmob Moscow on youtube.

@izzythepush,
It took me a bit to get it, things go too fast for me with both sound and closed caption, but then the light dawned.. ; )
