That is the most unusual external link brought into this discussion, I have to say.

No kidding. It is a link to an article on another website, but the link has the following keys in it:
"utm_source=able2know" "utm_campaign=Nithin".

As Nithin is also the ID of the person who posted the link, I wonder if he gets some sort of credit for directing traffic there.

I confess I clicked the link. (I know, shame on me.) It was just an article whining about Trump not being a real Xian. Which is exactly what the poster advertised it as being.

@RABEL222,
Quote rabel22:

And why Sec. of State Tillerson is skipping a meeting with NATO and going to Russia to meet with the commies?

Trump just annnounced today that he will be going to the NATO meeting himself. Probably because Tillerson skipping it caused such an uproar.

Only two months into his presidency, Trump seems to be reacting to events day by day instead of directing the action, like a new President should. Trump has surrounded himself largely with family members and weirdos, with nobody aboard who can advise him on how to act like a President, since they don't know themselves.

@Blickers,
Trump seems unawares of the position he's holding, and makes a mockery for the world to see. Of all the people in his circle of friends, there must surely be someone with some insights about being the president of this country.

@cicerone imposter,
Looks like Trumpcare is a "NO" from the GOP.
This guy is a big failure even in his own party. His approval rating at 37% is a death knell for his presidency. His wall must be more unpopular.

layman, you're going back on "ignore". I hate to say it, but it's not worth my time (or yours) to attempt reasoned discussion

Heh.

"Reasoned discussion" means swallowing the bullshit you're slopping out, eh? Which is: "The republicans created and leaked this "dossier." The Democrats just stood and watched it happen, that's all. They weren't involved in creating or disseminating this russian-generated slander at all."

And if ya don't, then I aint gunna talk to ya no more. I got homeys who believe me, so why should I?

Nice try, cheese-eater.

@reasoning logic,
Notice that the question is carefully crafted to only ask if "the phones were tapped," not if electronic surveillance, more generally speaking, was being conducted, eh? Shill said he wanted to be "very precise" about just what he was asking. As the commentater notes, both the question and the answer were carefully written and rehearsed beforehand.

@layman,
With cell phones these days, nobody "taps the wires." There are no "wires." The conversations are intercepted via air waves, not physical wires.

The racist idiots love that, but feasibility inc. cost, political will and cuts elsewhere will take their toll.

@Fil Albuquerque,
Channel 4 had a whole week dedicated to fake news, that very good quiz show was just a part of it. Some of the serious stuff was even better.

Further allegations have been made in Ukraine about secret funds said to have been paid to Donald Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

Lawmaker Serhiy Leshchenko said he had evidence that Mr Manafort had tried to hide a payment of $750,000 (£600,800) by a pro-Russian party in 2009.

Mr Manafort's spokesman denied the claim as "baseless".

Mr Manafort was an adviser to Ukraine's ex-President Viktor Yanukovych. But he denies receiving any cash payments.

An Oklahoma state senator will bow to calls to resign after he was charged this month with several counts of child prostitution, his lawyer says.

Senator Ralph Shortey has been facing calls to quit since when he was caught with a 17-year-old boy in a motel in Moore on 9 March.

The FBI and Secret Service have joined in the investigation, and Mr Shortey's home was searched on Friday.

The married father remains a salaried, voting member of the state legislature.

Mr Shortey will resign on Wednesday, says his attorney Ed Blau.

But even if found guilty of the child sex charges, he will still be eligible to collect his state retirement package.

Last week the Oklahoma Senate voted unanimously to strip the 35-year-old of his privileges, including his office, his assistant and his parking spot.

But Mr Shortey, who was first elected in 2010, is still able to vote on bills, unless he is formally expelled by his colleagues, or is convicted of a serious crime.

After a closed-door meeting on Monday, lawmakers said they were considering additional actions to remove the Oklahoma City Republican from the statehouse.

Senate president pro tempore Mike Schulz said on Monday afternoon the chamber "reserves the right to take further action as necessary" and "continues to explore the options available".

Unless he steps down, is convicted or expelled, Mr Shortey will continue to draw his $38,400 (£30,760) annual salary.

Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn charged Mr Shortey last week with engaging in child prostitution, engaging in prostitution within 1,000ft (300 metres) of a church and transporting a minor for prostitution.

According to Moore police, Mr Shortey was arrested at a Super 8 motel room that smelled heavily of marijuana.

If Trump repudiates the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty then we can expand our arsenal to whatever size we want, right?

Yeah — and if we're really lucky he may even get a chance to use it!

And it also gives the green light to other countries, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Venezuela to develop their own nuclear weapons.

As a kid, I used to listen to my Dad's collection of the very reverend "Brother Dave Gardner"

I just varied his speech patterns a bit

At least 33 people have been killed in an air strike on a school in a village west of the Islamic State-held Syrian city of Raqqa, a monitoring group says.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the building in al-Mansoura was being used as a shelter for displaced people when it was hit on Monday night.

The activist group Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently said the fate of 50 families who were there was unknown.

Both groups believe the raid was carried out by US-led coalition jets.

So this is how Trump will defeat IS, by killing civilians fleeing from IS. How long before ordinary civilians come to the conclusion that next to the US, IS is the lesser of two evils? It's tactics like this that lost the war in Vietnam.
