I hadn't really given a great deal of thought to lead pellets (I'm embarrassed to say) but isn't the entire globe better off if we keep lead out of the bodies of living things?

Yes. Lead pellets move into the environment and there's no good reason for this and the consequences for some species of animals (like the condor in California) can be serious, not to mention effects on we godly creatures. the anti-regulatory push comes mainly from the gun nuts (and the lobbyists working for the weapons industry) but in a more general sense, from people like georgeob. They'll continue as they are, of course, but the rest of us can and will fight against this. There is, as you suggest, a moral imperative to do so even if a whole lot of big money has no concern at all for much of anything except more money.

@blatham,
Liberals just plain hate the Second Amendment and will do anything to abolish it.

That's why it was so important to elect Trump. He'll protect us from the liberals.

@glitterbag,
It has been soundly established that the Democrats really were trying to destroy the Second Amendment.

At least, they were before Trump's election put a stop to it all.

We are well rid of this demented ideology known as liberalism. I'm glad that I lived to witness its demise.

@oralloy,
Do you even know what it takes to repeal an amendment? I don't know why you cling to this notion that Democrats want to abolish it. You are obviously an unquestioning reader, and I'm afraid if you ever actually stumble across the truth it will render you helpless. But, since your influences scream crackpot to me, it's easy not to lose sleep over your stated opinion.

@gungasnake,
FYI Obama is a citizen (I didn't say like you), not the president.

Your name calling proves your mental age; like about 10. And I'm insulting 10 year olds.

Yes.

I'm also aware of the fact that they don't need to officially repeal it if they appoint enough judges who will maliciously allow the Second Amendment to be violated.

glitterbag wrote:

Perhaps it is the large quantity of evidence showing the Democrats repeatedly trying to violate the Second Amendment every chance they get, including multiple attempts in recent history.

For just one example, note Obama's executive order moving large numbers of normal law abiding people onto the list of people prohibited from having guns.

For another example, look at Blatham's whining on this very page about how his favorite ammo-ban plot has just been foiled.

Because I refuse to deny proven facts like the Left demands that I do?

The truth and I are on very good terms.

glitterbag wrote:

There's really no point in your trying to deny facts anymore. Your demented ideology is on its way to the dustbin of history. Trump is the future of this country.

You aren't in a position to enjoy the loss of our rights. You've lost. Trump won. Our rights are going to be protected now.

@cicerone imposter,
It looks to me like this whole thing is prototypical Trump tactics. He's getting hammered and hemmed in by the increasing evidence that the Russians hacked the American election with disinfkormation and the Trump organization colluded with him/ Thje trail is leading back to Trump and whenever something gets hot on his tail he floats something totally outrageous (and as usual false), to try to divert attention from his complicity to something totally different.
don't let him divert our attention from Trump and Russia, the way he's trying to do.

Yes, Trump won the lowest approval rating for any president in his first few weeks in office. That's a distinction that will outlive all future presidents during the next 50 years.

I propose that "Trump Disapproval Rating" be renamed: "Liberal Temper Tantrum Severity Index".

You actually think that anyone cares that the Democrats are babbling about Russia?!? Wow!

You know, a herd of goats makes bleating noises. But the fact that goats make noise doesn't mean that the noise has any significance.

You guys can babble about Russia or Trump administration officials all you want if it makes you feel better, but I hope you don't expect anyone to pay attention to your meaningless bleating.

One of the (many) problems with that is that liberals do not make up 60% of the population of the US, which means that a hell of a lot of independents and (yes) even conservatives are disagreeing with Trump too, as he so richly deserves.

Have you noticed how many Republicans are calling for investigations tto? And how the GOP leadership is frantically trying to quell that and whip them back into line? Why are they so opposed to finding the truth?

@oralloy,
So you have watched the Norwegian Nobel Commitee destroying the Nobel Peace Prize.
I am very impressed as I think very few have been close enough to follow their temper tantrums.
That means you must be rather good in the Norwegian language.
Mine is rusty so please translate this for me - it has to do with ...
