I hear coldjoint floods the mods inbox with demands to banish other posters. I suppose he/she is still smarting after his/her 2 year banishment. Sort of pitiful, ain't it.

Yeah. Really. Why is this so difficult to comprehend? Lots of Democrats and left-leaning independents sat out the '16 election. And more disaffected Republicans and independents turned out specifically to vote against Trump in 2020.

While we're at it, the dead-enders might want to come to terms with the fact that the size of Trump's rallies never implied that he was overwhelmingly popular with the entire electorate, just that his supporters liked attending them and Trump enjoyed holding them —especially during the pandemic because he got to thumb his nose at the public health concerns being raised. So edgy!

It is much like "any party member that wasn’t fighting for the great victory of Mao's Cultural Revolution was a running dog of American Imperialism." The good news was that the CCP later realized that Mao had made a disastrous mistake and then abandoned his CR. Trump is so much like Mao who is voracious on grander scales of worshipping by his followers and continues bringing deadliest days to America.

Sticking to evidence, science and values of democracy is a way to shake off Mao's and Trump's nasty curse.

McConnell already won his re-election bid in November. He doesn't have to worry about being voted out by Trump Supporters until 2026. Due to his age, he may not even run for another term in 2026.

At this point, there is nothing that Trump or his supporters can do to get rid of McConnell without the support of the Senate. The only other option is letting the Democrats win the Senate elections in Georgia, so that McConnell could potentially lose his seat as Majority Leader.
