@oralloy,
The Mandalorian is pretty good. Much better than the recent Disney movies...

I don't know if I'd say it's enough to "fix" the God awful mistakes that Disney has made with the franchise, but it's SO much farther a step in the right direction than crapola like "The Last Jedi" my dude.

If you like Star Wars, definitely a must watch.

Right, just Trump supporters.

I can assure you that I live in one of the two continental landmasses named "America". That's all the "right" I need, comrade.

And links to the NYT means less than 0.

If you actually bothered to read the articles you'd notice that they are well-researched with plenty of links to sources. All you have to do is demonstrate that particular statements are dubious or find fault with the logic. You keep saying the mainstream media lies, but as we find out time and time again, it's the sources you rely on that can't be trusted. Tell us about the Bakersfield quacks again, or how hydroxychloroquine is going to end the pandemic.

@hightor,
I wonder whether the slim lead that Biden acquired in the several states were the result of TRUMP"doing it to himself"

1. His Az lead, was it lost as voters who remembered TRUMP's vainglorious attacks on John McCain, a true AMRICAN hero who failed to kiss the fat ones ass?.

2. Much of Bidens "catch up andpass" was centered in results from South-Western Pa, where Trump had failed to deliver his promises to restore coal mining in the commonwealthW. He instead lost an additional 12% of mining jobs. We perhaps could be retooling mining and colliery skills developing the technology to mine rare earths from the coal and the coal dust. (Crap that is presently polluting about 25K tream miles in PA alone roughly 1/3 of Pa's 84000 stream miles. Mining rare earths could make the mining an "expense" so the cleanups that would result would be offsetting operating costs as a greater tax relief. Compliance and metallurgical coals are loaded with REE's and Anthracite too.

@farmerman,
Oh yeh, can get Al2O3 and Li2CO3 from coal waste. Right now weve closed our only mines in Cal , leaving an industry vulnerable to a upply chain from unfriendly trade prtners..

The chances Trump will attend Biden's inauguration have been calculated to be exactly zero.

@Builder,
hows your coal industry coming along?? Did your chief exec promise to bring back jobs that he knw were being phased out by better/cleaner energy??

Our(Pa and Wyo) coal is loaded with rare earths , gold, lithium, aluminum (Cost of processing will cancel out importing fee). You should find something to do with yours before Australia is nothin but a burned out stump.

@blatham,
I think we should at least attend the inaugural parades virtually and then claim how it was the greatest parade attendance ever!!!

Who woulda thought that his parade claim would set the tone for his public discourse for the next 4 fuckin years. INCONCEIVABLE!!!!

Or they lie about it.

The Whyalla steel works is about to embark on a major research project to replace coke in the iron making process with hydrogen. The technology is not proven yet, but if it works, will be a lot cleaner, create some offshoot markets, and will be one less use for a fuel that most people don’t want anymore

W used to make watchdials from pitchblende till we discovered how to make weapons and energy .

ALuminum used to be as expensive as gold till e learned to make it cheap.

I figured with Builder that"If he aint tryin to fix global warming, he's supporting it"

@farmerman,
we used to mess with iron smelting using a Hydrogen to kick start and then get into top "heat" using H2 plasma .

It didnt last long because coke was still cheaper. Now weve learned lotsa new things to create plasma furnaces. ANYWAY, weve mostly given up on all steel except for the various stainless varieties.

My company primarily makes wire based products, from spring steel (think cars) to reinforcing. The market is so good that we’re in the final stages of commissioning a new stretching line, which has added 20mm dbar to the range. We already made 10, 12 and 16. Probably a topic for a different thread. It’s got little to do with Trump being booted out on his arse.

Steve Bannon Loses Lawyer After Suggesting Beheading of Fauci

Bannon, the former adviser to President Trump who is known for his right-wing extremism,
suggested on Thursday that the F.B.I. director and Dr. Anthony S. Fauci should be beheaded,
and Twitter responded by banning one of his accounts.

On Friday, a prominent lawyer who was defending Mr. Bannon against fraud charges in federal
court in Manhattan abruptly moved to drop him as a client, one person familiar with the matter
said.

“Mr. Bannon is in the process of retaining new counsel,” the lawyer, William A. Burck, said in a
brief letter to the court, giving no explanation...

Of course he did. And it seems Pence has been absent for days, Barr for longer. Are they going to be truthful if infected? Not if they can get away without that being disguisable or being leaked because that would violate the falsehoods they are dedicated to promoting.

And all of this while the daily covid infection totals set new records each ******* day. These are truly ugly humans.
