Pontiff tells activists he supports their fight against ‘gutting of democracies’ in letter that appears to take aim at US president

Pope Francis has offered his unequivocal support to grassroots organisers and activists who are fighting for social justice, migrants, and environmentalism, saying he “reaffirms” their choice to fight against tyranny amid a “gutting of democracies”.

Well, we know how that will land on Bannon's ears. And Trump's - Fake Pope!

For myself, I'm just glad that Antonin Scalia wasn't here to see his faith used as a justification for political theory.

Eutectics is not just a point, its an entire scale of PT relationships unique to every natural compound and alloy. Steel (ASTM A36) has a "recipe" which includes some Mo which changes the crystals from body centered to face centered(this changes their dynamics modulii an CE's). Mo showed up in the dust in a range slightly higher than just the steel. It probably camw from light fixtures an exit signs etc
DID you know that the rubble was radioctive a bit? That was from the discharges of the 3H in exit signs. It read something like 20K pi-C/g. JUST FROM EXIT SIGNS. Ive seen that the "Truthers" were BSing tht someone set off a small tactical NUKE (probably Pu due to its size requirement. ACTUALLY, the radioactivity was due to Tritium).Almost all the truthers have one thing in common. They are like our own gunga snake
1. Theyre fairly ignorant about their opinions in science

2 Wont be willing to rad and learn real science

3 They all Need to be part of some fringe belief

Its not orth our time arguing with you. You wont lern anything because you only read and listen to crap tht agrees with you

See? I told you so. You're way out of your league... Give It Up.

When it comes to the mainstream media the defacto propaganda machine of the left Republican presidents are usually on the defensive. Hoorah for Donald Trump he's playing offense. I'm not sure if the idiots on the left realize it or not but Donald Trump is playing them like a $2 fiddle.

And as far as Shepard Smith is concerned he needs to go the way of Megyn Kelly... Over to NBC

Star Wars and Braveheart were the two movies named by the article, that I had also seen.

The other movie they didn't name. They just posted these two pictures and credited the pictures to Lionsgate Films:

I'll see what Tineye has to say about the images.

I guessed right it seems. Tineye came up with all sorts of Hunger Games links for those two pictures.

I'm vaguely familiar with the premise of Hunger Games, but have never seen the movies or read the books.

I did finally watch the Harry Potter movies though. (Another series that for the longest time I'd not bothered to watch/read.)

By the way, if you aren't familiar with Tineye, I strongly recommend it. It's like Google except for images instead of words.

@McGentrix,
Thanks, I evidently liked the post too, it's use of popular culture in particular.

Michael Moore had written along similar lines when he prediced Trump's victory one month before the election. Moore's got his finger on the country's pulse alright.

You see! The legitimate media know how incredibly worthy I am of adulation. No other president ever has gotten so much done in 3 or 4 weeks. Not Lincoln, not Washington, not Reagan, not anyone.

I suppose Iraqis voting for the government of their choice counts as us deciding what is best for them?

Afghanistan attacked us and we were merely defending ourselves. They were also planning global genocide and wanted a create a world where it was illegal to teach women how to read.

The US never even got involved against Assad. But given his genocide, any decent human being will condemn him.

Cuba stole our property. We had a right to complain. They also routinely torture people for disagreeing with their politics. Anyone with the decency to oppose torture will certainly oppose Cuba.

South Vietnam was desperately trying to save themselves from Communist domination.

South Korea was desperately trying to save themselves from Communist domination.

Chile was desperately trying to save themselves from Communist domination.

I had not seen this:
Quote:
"The greatest thing I could do is shoot that ship" Trump claimed that the American people would think it was “so great” if he ordered an attack on the Russian spy ship reportedly loitering off the coast of Connecticut but that he wouldn’t because he wanted to try to preserve U.S.-Russian relations.
TPM
Incredible self-restraint in the name of international relations. Even while knowing that Americans yearn with all their hearts to see a Russian naval vessel and everyone on board just blown all to hell (and think what great TV this would make!) Trump has thought this one trough and he's decided against it.

Also, not going to send a few hundred nukes down into that goddamn China place though they deserve it and my base would go crazy in love with this, because I'm a great president, I'm not going to do that right away.

Juvenile winner/loser game. That's what trolls do and you're not a troll. As I said, I'm leaving off this particular issue with you because I see no profit in continuing it given divergent ideas.

If people left aside all the issues they disagreed about, they would have nothing to discuss... The only reason you want this conversation ended is that you are uneasy talking to me. No sweat, I'm used to it.

It aint you, Ollie, he just don't like talkin to nobody who doesn't praise him for his views. He aint lookin for discussion, debate, an exchange of ideas, or nuthin like that.

The boy just wants fawning adulation. Kinda like he projects onto Trump, ya know?

@blatham,
Not as artists, but my aunt was mad at herself for not taking the tossed away cels (cells?) from the waste baskets, sometime later. My aunt was a secretary and met my uncle at Disney; I don't remember what he did. My mother was a secretary at another studio; dad started out as a film cutter, another studio; uncles were studio treasurers. A guy I went the prom with did animation at Disney later on (saw his name in the paper, years after the prom). I considered becoming a film editor but thought better of it.

Well, back to Trump. I'd like to edit him out of our government.
