Everywhere you look, republicans are making efforts to make it more difficult to get your vote counted.

In California they erected fake drop boxes for ballots and marked them “official”.

In Texas, they limited each county to one single Dropbox per county - one of the most populous counties in the country they cut from 12 boxes to just one.

In NC, they are trying to limit the deadline for counting mail-in ballots.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who has obsessively covered Hunter Biden’s emails since the story exploded in conservative media earlier this month, suddenly said on Thursday night that he didn’t want to be involved with “piling on” Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s son.

He's not running for president. Hunter Biden is a fallen man at this point. I should also say that I knew Hunter Biden fairly well. We lived near each other in Washington for quite some time. I knew his wife, who's an absolutely outstanding person, a good person.

I never thought Hunter Biden was a bad person. I thought he had demons, though in the time I knew him, he kept them mostly under control. At some point, he lost control of those demons, and the world knows that now. He's now humiliated and alone.

It's probably too strong to say we feel sorry for Hunter Biden. But the point is that pounding on a man and piling on him when he's already down is something that we don't want to be involved in.

One month before a purported leak of files from Hunter Biden's laptop, a fake "intelligence" document about him went viral on the right-wing internet, asserting an elaborate conspiracy theory involving former Vice President Joe Biden's son and business in China.

The document, a 64-page composition that was later disseminated by close associates of President Donald Trump, appears to be the work of a fake "intelligence firm" called Typhoon Investigations, according to researchers and public documents.

Yup. I didn’t really expect any different. I guess I just like to test how deeply the dissonance runs. Democrats do not even want voter ID's. They want people voting illegally and encourage it. If you cannot prove you are a citizen you should not vote. Why would anyone have a problem with that unless they relied on fraud to win elections?

The problem lies with difference in a legal ID and a signature on a card. I don't use a middle initial yet it's printed on my DL. Why should my vote not be counted over stupid **** like that? Or using a RR address, which is legal for mail but not for voter registration? Come on, you're being disingenuous.

House Democrats Pass Bill to Fight Voter ID Laws Nationwide

The number one target of this legislation is clearly Voter ID laws. Many states passed Voter ID laws during the Obama administration and they were subsequently challenged in the courts. If this law had been in place during the Obama years, Eric Holder or Lorretta Lynch would have had the power to stop states from passing those laws.

The bill aims to restore the Voting Rights Act of 1965 in its entirety. The landmark law was pared back after the Supreme Court’s 2013 decision in Shelby County v. Holder, which essentially stripped the law of a “coverage formula” that determined which jurisdictions had a history of racial discrimination in voting policies. Those jurisdictions would then need to get permission, or preclearance, from the U.S. Justice Department or a federal court before changes to their voting laws could go into effect. As part of its 2013 decision, the Supreme Court also asked Congress to come up with a new formula to determine which jurisdictions would be subject to preclearance.

The Voting Rights Advancement Act would update the coverage formula and provide greater transparency by mandating reasonable public notice of voting changes. The bill would also enable the attorney general to send federal observers anywhere in the U.S. where there is a serious threat of racial discrimination in voting and increase accessibility and protections for American Indian and Alaska Native voters.
