@snood,
I don’t know, your guess is as good as mine, but I do think there are idiots who believe such nonsense, whether or not those particular idiots believe it is another matter entirely.

@snood,
It's exactly the narrative trump promotes to his most loyal supporters. I think in a lot of cases they just "take his word for it" without question, and that would certainly apply to at least most of the nutters you're referring to that post here. I'm sure that would also apply to a lot of other trump supporters, and I think being "repulsive" to their opposition is just an added bonus to his supporters.

You have to look at his supporter base, a lot of his loyal supporter base aren't well educated, don't trust "the establishment" and are all too willing to believe in conspiracy theories. And anyone who says otherwise is a part of the "deep state" (again, another narrative trump promotes to his supporters). So essentially, and like in cults, you only need to convince the "followers" that everyone else is "bad" or "evil", and you're the only person they can trust. And it isn't just people that dropped out of high school that get sucked into cults. It's psychology at the end of the day, and anyone can become vulnerable to manipulation under the right conditions - even if you are a smart person intellectually.

It really does seem to me that while it would be easy to say coldjoint/pinky is just too stupid to understand what the truth even just could be, let alone what it actually is; I think you'll find that in a lot of cases here, it's mental illness and ideology that plays a much bigger part, more than anything else. And it's about ideology and hatred of what they perceive as "the left", because they think that "the left" just wants to take away their guns, and/or so-called "freedoms". So nothing for them is off-limits as far as attacks go, because when you're willing to just "take someone else's word for it" without question rather than doing any critical thinking of your own, then you're just going to go along with whatever narrative your "hero" is spouting. The problem for the nutters that post on this site and many others is that, it is just way too easy to see straight through.

You think that Trump supporters are stupid when they can see the lies and the result those lies have had in our cities? You talk about critical thinking when Blacks shoot more Blacks than all the races and police combined. Then you claim we are a cult when Obama clearly abused his power and is above the law? Only cult like people would elevate a man who violated his oath of office to a level where he cannot be touched because he did it to Trump. You think that really is American justice? You think the person matters and not the crime. It does not or should not work that way.

If you people had one shred of honesty or cared one bit for this country you would see that singling Trump out and allowing people to abuse our laws to get him is very wrong. Calling people names and hating people for disagreeing, ruining their lives, and enjoying it show a petty and evil mindset the Left enjoys.

You also have the nerve to project the manipulation of the Left onto Trump supporters. The manipulation is in the media and Trump is manipulating no one. The indoctrination of our children by Marxists is now an art form in our schools, and until Trump, in our own government. You are the mindless zombies who reject this great country and what it really stands for. You call us racist and ignore our history of rectifying our mistakes through our laws that you wish to bypass with violence and intimidation. And you are also just another sock of a person who think he has the right to censor what appears on this forum. So, frankly, any opinion of yours is worth nothing.

@coldjoint,
You clearly haven't understood what I've actually said, let alone any of the points I was making.

So perhaps you are just too stupid to be able to understand what you're getting told, and I was wrong for giving you the benefit of doubt...

That is because you said nothing different than anyone else who hates America and Americans and thinks because you say so makes it true and right. You are just another mindless victim of your own hate.

You've just proven the points I made above in not only one, but two different posts. And the only thing I'm a victim of is your nonsense, but at least I'm not the only victim of that here...

You made no points, you just think you did. All you have proven is that you do not do your own thinking.

If you want to continue this I will walk all over you, as I have done before to you under another one of your names. You do not have the mental capacity to debate.

I see, you think Blacks killing more Blacks than police or any other race is nonsense. Why don't you prove it is?

When coldjoint or one of his ilk post something like "BLM wants to murder police and rape white people",
Do you think he really believes it, or do you think he just says whatever he thinks will be the most repulsive to his opposition?

The reality that I am always able to prove my claims with facts shows that not only do I believe them, but that they are actually true.

The reality that progressives always run away instead of confronting these facts shows that they as well know everything that I say is true.

Progressives just lack the honor and integrity to admit that I'm right.

I know that most of the initial responses will probably be from coldjoint and his ilk, but I'll gladly weed through those to see your (sane, reasonable) responses.

Progressives sure do act childish.

I should be compassionate because progressivism is a mental disorder. However progressives are evil and thus do not deserve compassion.

@coldjoint,
And the earth is also flat, and if you sail too far out into the ocean, you'll fall off the edge too... LOL.

You always lose whatever debate you enter into, because you just keep posting nothing but bullshit. I surprised you have the mental capacity to even turn on a computer, let alone make posts, even bullshit ones.

PS: Out of interest, which other "socks" do you think I have here pinky? As it's always nice to have a laugh at something I know to be nothing but bullshit when a moron like you truly believes said bullshit. Laughing Drunk

He/it/they is/are being paid to post. No matter how they are here, there’s assuredly no thinking going on about why they post that diatribe. Their only thrust is that they have one issue theyre harping on,and he is the one they have to,promote...no matter what.

With many it’s the abortion issue. With others, it’s making sure the stock market rises and they don’t lose money in their investments. They don’t care if the world burns up in the meanwhile.

They, the Trumpies, ate so stupid they actually believe the shite they post. Either they can't read or they are unable to assimilate the vast bunch of information available about the fact Trump is one of the biggest crooks not in jail. I fear as he is president he will never pay for his crimes because the politicians both republican and democrat will never prosecute for his various crimes because they think it would give the u s a bad reputation. They don't realize its too late to save our reputation unless he and almost all his government are prosecuted for their crimes. If they are not than future governments will feel they can be even more dishonest than the present government. Unless they are prosecuted I see our nation going the way of Rome.

When is Obama going to be punished? Let's work on Trump after the firing squad deals with Obama. OK?

Sorry, but I don’t really think our little forum is an important enough platform for some Russian to be posting paid operatives on. I think coldjoint’s prodigious and dangerously crazed stupidity is his own, unfortunately.

I don’t really think he believes BLM is killing cops and raping white people. I don’t even think he operates out of any personal ideology beyond just raw lizard-brained racism. I think his whole world is made up as he goes along - everything he says is parroted rightwingnut memes combined with whatever horseshit he can think up that supports those memes( It’s Obama’s fault, Trump is doing a good job, Russia was a hoax, Covid is a hoax, Qanon makes sense, BLM wants to murder and rape, and on and on and on).

We can take small comfort in the fact that while he’s posting here (which is evidently a hell of a lot), he’s not out shooting a peaceful protester or something more perverse.

And also, if Biden win big enough, things like coldjoint will be a little easier to ignore.

Can you show me what is dangerously crazed stupidity or is it just usual insults for lack of an argument or proof?

Let's have some examples of what you consider dangerous and crazed. No examples are ever given when I am accused of anything. Maybe you are the one to change that.

Why don't we start with Blacks killing more Blacks than anyone else. Is it dangerous that people know that is a fact? Why don't you explain why Democratic cities hire racist police officers? Why don't you tell me why the Democrats refuse to endorse charter schools and keep black children in substandard schools. Then tell me why knowing that fact is dangerous.

I can hardly wait for your answer.

The Doomsday Cult of Trump

FEBRUARY 4, 2019
JOHN PAVLOVITZ

“I don’t recognize her anymore.”

Through choked back tears, a man shared these words today about his 74-year old mother. The last two years have seen their once-loving relationship deteriorate precipitously, now relegated to cold exchanges via text and strained small talk conversations at family gatherings—sandwiched between explosive screaming matches which are often followed by extended periods of radio silence.

He shared screenshots of his mother’s Facebook profile, littered with Alt-Right talking points, discriminatory memes, and effusive tributes to the President—always juxtaposed with hateful diatribes regarding our former President. The racism and homophobia and Islamophobia she generates every day is both shocking and devastating to her adult son.

“She just believes every word out of his mouth, everything she watches on FoxNews.” he said. “I can’t reason with her. It’s like talking to someone who’s been brainwashed. She isn’t the mother I grew up with.”

This is how cults work. They gradually alter people’s brains, attuning them to a singular voice, and weaponizing them against any dissenting opinions. To their manipulated minds, efforts to reach them with objective truth become acts of aggression against the one they see as divine—and trigger an ever-more passionate affection toward their leader. They will defend (even to relational death with people they once loved) that one person.

America is in a cultic crisis, and Trumpism is the cult. There is no other way to approach these days.

When you believe one man above Science, above our Intelligence agencies, above former CIA directors and retired generals and revered journalists—when you believe that one man above even your own eyes and ears—you are fully indoctrinated.

This hasn’t happened by accident, but by sickening design. Cult leaders prey upon emotionally vulnerable people, leveraging their loneliness, their disenfranchisement, their disconnection. They bombard their targets with a steady stream of misinformation, incendiary rhetoric, and chaotic prophecy—and into the swirling confusion created inside their heads, they come promising safety and security, while having no concern for them at all. They start a fire—and rush in with a bucket of water.

Donald Trump has mastered the art of emergency manufacturing and danger generation. We saw this during the near month-long Government shutdown. He convinced his followers that violent, drug-carrying immigrants were streaming across the border to duct tape and rape women, he then feigned courage by boldly and publicly vowing to protect them by shutting down the Government. He then did so, and after weeks of complete inactivity and not a single change, stood in the White House Rose Garden, claiming victory against a fictional adversary by stopping an unnecessary crisis that he alone created.

Every day he designs a false threat, steps in to the nonexistent battlefield, and declares himself victorious to a group of now emotionally dependent human beings, whose internal story and well-being depends on him winning. That’s the only way their world makes sense anymore, it is the only outcome they can conceive of.

People who’ve tried to rescue their loved ones from such inculcation will tell you how incredibly difficult it is to deprogram them after such repeated deception, such prolonged lying, such protracted fear. They will detail the excruciating efforts to reach parents and best friends and adult children, through the haze of their addiction to the connection they have come to feel with someone who is predatory toward them. And many will describe the long and bloody battles they’ve fought for the people they love—battles they sometimes ultimately lost to the cult.

My friend said of his mother, “I’m going to keep trying to reach her because I know who she used to be. I’m still hopeful I can get her back.”

This needs to be the posture we choose now. No one willingly joins a cult. They are lured and tricked and coerced all way the up to the precipice of emotional and intellectual surrender—and then they fall in. Once there, it is nearly impossible for them to leave voluntarily. They can’t see that they are fighting against their own self-interest by aligning with the one holding them hostage.

Leaving isn’t an option, so someone who loves them persistently and fiercely needs to brave the wounding words and the violent opposition, to try and rescue them.

The only way they can do that, is by loving them in a way that the cult leader simply isn’t capable of—and by refusing to let his voice, be the only voice left that they hear.
