Ignore the media; America is still in good shape

Quote:
The media are lying to us: Outside of the media’s Democrat-run communities, Americans are getting along fine and are well aware of what’s really going on.

We are not a racist country.
Quote:
Believe it or not, things in America are better than you think. In a way, America is the equivalent of a fundamentally healthy plant under attack from hard-left aphids. If we can rid ourselves of that parasite, we will be fine. This post needs three personal anecdotes to explain what I mean.

Here is one of them.
Quote:
Anecdote Two: My friend and I went to a local gun range a couple of weeks ago. We were the first people waiting in line. A few minutes later, a young black man joined the line behind us. I greeted him, he returned my greeting, and we started chatting. Within a few minutes, he looked at us – two middle-aged white people – and said, “What happened downtown, that’s not who we are here. Those people, they just want to make trouble, burning a car, and making a mess. Here, we’re all in it together. We’re good people.”

I found it utterly endearing that this young man wanted us to feel safe and comfortable. I also believed him. In my very mixed-race, suburban community, outside of the Democrat-run urban center, things are peaceful, and people treat each other with kindness and respect.

Broadcasting and encouraging hate like our media does is nothing but trying to tear us apart. It has worked in the inner cities because of agitators who do not even live i those cities. Wise up. Stop listening to people who hate this country.

Don’t fall for Operation Demoralize

Quote:
The spines of thousands are being strengthened, by hearing of your fight.

You are NOT ALONE.

Before tonight, I never heard of you. If you had equivocated prior to this point, you would have still been destroyed by the people who want you to pander to them; and you would have dissolved into obscurity.

But, you fought for righteousness. The rule of law, the Constitution and Bill of Rights. For the Ethos of Dr Martin L King, … you fight for Content of Character.

You stood, seemingly alone, in the breach.

But you are not alone. We are with you.

I am with you – Fangs Out and Full Speed, I am coming; and with you even now.

Quote:
Don’t be demoralized. Gain strength from their fear of you.

I think the Left knows they are outmatched and outnumbered by a vast amount.

HUGE! Supreme Court Stops Obama Judge From Ending Voter ID For Voting in Alabama

Quote:
The US Supreme Court on Thursday blocked a lower-court ruling that would have allowed residents of Alabama to vote by absentee ballot without providing a copy of a photo ID.

Alabama also requires the absentee ballot to be signed by two witnesses or notarized.

Mount Rushmore Rioters Blocking Roads to Prevent President Trump’s Independence Day Event

Quote:

Police and National Guard personnel have responded to the roadblock, although at least an hour after their arrival it does not appear as if the authorities have completely cleared the rioters trying to disrupt political expression.

Some initial arrests of anarchists and left-wing tyrants have occurred, and it appears as if the police do intend to prevent the authoritarian Left from sabotaging the patriotic free expression of those who disagree with them.

Rioters have set up vans on a road leading to the monument and slashed the tires of the vehicles, hoping to create a physical obstacle to those seeking to reach the site. National Guard and police may have to resort to the use of tow trucks and bulldozers in order to open access to Mount Rushmore on account of the leftist rioters’ sophisticated political intimidation operation.

Again, what Communists do.

@coldjoint,
No riotoing. Peaceful protests only. This is just another wildhttps://www.bing.com/search?q=the+case+against+qualified+immunity&FORM=AWREas a celebration of American history.-eyed hysterical extreme right wing rant. It's constitutionally protected free expression of dissent with trump's widely reported views and what he's been reported as going to saytonight. they slashed their owntires, so no violence there. The coumntry has turned widely against trump since February and he's trying desperately and so far futilely to resis the tide. this is clearly a political rally fokr trump trying to masquerade as a celebration of American history.

@MontereyJack,
Theyve gone "widly" against Trump in upstate Pa (its where Hillary lost)> The bad news is that Biden doesnt seem to be picking up the new
anti-Trumpy" portion of the GOP. There's talk of writing in Pence. SoTrump could still win the state unless Bidens plurality widens a bit more.

The newest things in Pa are the wider expansion of "Blueness" that almost covers the entire S and E corridor from Philly to Pittburgh (covers Lancaster, Reading Allentown York and Scranton/Wilkes Barre. However, noone has polled there since the Legilative results of 2018

The rest of the state, Col country and Lumberland are still a bit Trump--ish. Madonna is saying that, absent a huge turnaround covidly and economically, Trump's going to lose PA.

That is what your media says. They have passed up bias and are now political activists. People you apparently do not know are tired of it.

Give it up, they will not talk Americans into trashing their country. Trump will be re-elected.

It's a photograph, not a painting. Try and look at it for more than 2 miliseconds, if you can.

So what? It still got the drink wrong. It's still missing the psychosis-inducing drugs that were to be mixed with the candy and drink.

It's still celebrating a ruthless thug who tried to murder the captain of the local neighborhood watch and was killed in justified self defense.

Olivier5 wrote:

It kind of reminds me of art that celebrates the KKK. They were murdering thugs too. That sort of art isn't really my thing.

Do you take requests? If you are going to keep posting pictures of black people, how about more pretty girls?

But nothing pornographic lest you arouse the ire of the moderators.

More like the pictures that you posted here:

I don't think it would spread beyond the small circle of people on this site.

That's who I was referring to. The progressives on a2k almost all rely on name-calling. Several times even you have gratuitously repeated name-calling that other progressives were spewing at me.

And a lot of name-calling gets left up by the moderators these days. Not all of it of course. But I have no idea how they decide what is acceptable. Sometimes they remove stuff that is pretty harmless. Sometimes they leave up stuff that is pretty toxic.

So I don't intend to tell anyone here what word was used. Neither do I intend to play 20 questions and tell people they've guessed wrong until they finally stumble on the right word.

MontereyJack wrote:

Blocking people from attending a rally is more than a mere protest. It is interfering with other people's political expression.

It's a lot like when a certain progressive uses illegal mass votedowns to silence conservative posts on a2k.

And no, I'm not accusing you. I know who it is, and it's someone else.

MontereyJack wrote:

Try not to get too upset when conservatives start doing the same thing to prevent progressives from attending rallies.

I know progressives are never able to comprehend that conservatives will retaliate in kind, but they usually do retaliate.

Remember how the gratuitous blocking of W's nominees in 2007-08 lead directly to the blocking of Mr. Obama's Supreme Court nominee?

MontereyJack wrote:

The Constitution doesn't give progressives the right to block the speech of people who disagree with them.

Probably the most positive outcome for progressives right now would be for these protesters to serve time in prison. That would mean that conservatives will not be inclined to start using the same tactics to shut down progressive rallies.

Photographer Omar Victor Diop's art project Liberty: A Universal Chronology of Black actually visualises some of the most decisive and lesser-known moments of a global struggle: from the Maroon resistance in 18th-Century Jamaica to the killing of Trayvon Martin in 2012, and was conceived and created in Dakar, Senegal, the city where Omar Victor Diop was born and lives today.

But, of course, you can have different ideas about it - in art as in life, interpretation matters.

@Walter Hinteler,
Celebrating a ruthless murdering thug like Trayvon Martin is quite a bit like celebrating the KKK.

Thugs are thugs.

Thugs are bad.

@oralloy,
Black men scare you far more than Black women, so if you want to grow up some, you need to watch pictures of Black men and try and control your fear while doing so. I'm trying to make it easier for you by selecting beautiful pictures.

This one should be bearable:

Now let's try something a bit harder:
http://www.caacart.com/artwork/pigozzi-collection-364.jpg

Photos by Jean Depara, 1928-1997, from a series called "the Apolons of Leopoldville".
http://www.caacart.com/artwork/g-portrait-Depara-Jean-36.jpg
Depara came to photography almost by accident. To record his wedding in 1950 he bought himself a small Adox camera—after which he never ceased to seek out new subjects for his lens. Settling in Kinshasa in 1951, Depara at first combined his photography with various small jobs: repairing bicycles and cameras, dealing in scrap metal. In 1954 the celebrated Zairian singer Franco invited him to become his official photographer, launching Depara’s career as a chronicler of Kinshasa social life in the era when the Rumba and the Cha Cha defined the city’s rhythm.
