That is incorrect. Democrats caused those deaths by disrupting government with a sham impeachment for the first month of the pandemic.

What's his/your excuse NOW? It's now the end of June.

Where is the leadership for this crisis?

Golfing & trips to McDonald's...

The impeachment remains my justification for the death toll.

The time to stop the pandemic was early on.

as usual, no facts, just pro-trump supposition.

Actually it's the New York Times that relies on supposition instead of facts.

But at least they aren't outright liars like the BBC.

@oralloy,
It shouldn't be. You may have had a point in February but now, it's just not going to cut it. Trump has not shown the leadership America needs.

Trump still refuses to set a national policy to tackle this. He's going golfing how many times?

And it will be remembered in November.

Hes been silent for several years now an noone has any ideas (probably Trump also) about what's in the pipe line for healthcare??

The Republicans have had ideas for an alternative system for many years now.

Maybe it's a distance thing, Russia has a concept of near abroad, basically neighbouring states, some ex soviet that it feels should be it's sphere of influence.
It's not alone, look at how America views Cuba and Venezuela.

Don't be silly. We couldn't care less about Cuba and Venezuela.

The opposition that we express to their atrocities would be expressed for any country that committed such atrocities, even if it was on the other side of the world.

If their candidate loses in November, Trumpists will dig in their heels just as their predecessors did after Barack Obama's 2008 victory. Only a month after his inauguration, the Tea Party was already up and running. But the Tea Party will prove child's play compared to the resistance the Trumpists are likely to mount if their candidate tanks on Election Day 2020. And such resistance could succeed in finishing what Trump started -- disuniting the country and destroying the democratic experiment -- unless, that is, the United States were to undergo a thorough de-Trumpification.

Other societies have gone through such processes, but those efforts -- Reconstruction after the American Civil War, denazification in Germany after World War II, and de-Baathification after the fall of Saddam Hussein in Iraq in 2003 -- have all been flawed in various ways. Reconsidering them, however, might help us avoid repeating the mistakes of history as we try to drive a stake through the heart of Trumpism.

Actually it's progressivism that needs to be uprooted and abolished from American society.

It's the nature of progressivism.

As they ruin and destroy areas currently under their control, progressives try to seize control over new areas that haven't yet been ruined by their demented policies.

That's why the country was willing to die in a nuclear war in order to avoid being conquered by the Soviets.

nonsense. it's progressivism, which is after alll for progress (as in the name ) which keeps the society growing and striving and thriving from the dead and moldy hand of conservatives who only want to force us back into a land and fantasy that never were.

@MontereyJack,
Progressives are bad people. They abuse the law to conduct witch hunts against innocent people who merely disagree with them.

As for the changes that progressives want to impose on the nation, look to Venezuela. Or look to Flint and Detroit. No thank you.

Society would do well to rid itself of progressivism and all of the harm that progressives cause.
