@goldberg,
They can't breathe? I also can't stand it anymore.
BLM's supporters should be telling black people not to use the word chin... to describe Chinese Americans. In ABC's sitcom, Fresh Off the Boat, a black boy tells a boy-who is Chinese American- that "you are the one at the bottom, chin..." before shoving the Chinese American aside with his black elbow.
It's not fictional, mind you? Lots of black people don't balk at using such words to describe Chinese Americans or other grotty slang terms to trash Asian Americans in reality. By which I mean they won't talk about racial discrimination anymore when they fleer at Chinese and Asian Americans. A black rapper even wrote a song about how to pinch goods from Chinese-owned shops. On the other hand, they call you a racist when you use the nig...
Remember what happened to South Africa after black people seized power there ? Is South Africa's economy going gangbusters? Do you find racial equality there? Do you know that black people living there still attack each other? You can't blame non-black people and claim that white people still rule South Africa anymore since shoals of white folks have already left South Africa.
Do you know a white American teacher took flak from his black students for refusing to give black students a special treatment weeks ago? The black students of his class even accused him of being a racist for this reason. ;P. Some black people still berate Chinese Americans for studying too hard. They even suggest that it would be wrong for American colleges to have more Chinese or Asian students.
By their reckoning, Chinese Americans are to blame when some indolent black students blanch at the idea of studying hard like Chinese Americans. Chinese Americans are to blame when black people smoke weed, mooch around the streets, and break into other people's houses. Chinese Americans are to blame when lots of black hoods spend their time trashing each other and even other races with black street music called rap. Yo, man.
It's so odd that non-black people are told not to use words like black and white if they don't want to prompt BLM's supporters' scolding. So which word would black people use to describe nighttime? Not green? Not Pink? Do we have to call the White House Blue House? Why not use the word mahogany since I often find this word in crime novels, huh?
Well, it's getting() outside. I have to turn on the lights. I'd hate to sit in the ()ness. It makes me unease. I'd prefer to sit in a light-filled room instead; it gives me a chance to see things clearly.
