@coldjoint,
Indeed, like you don't die from e.g. the Marburg virus but from shock and(or organ failure.

I suppose, most people die because they were born?

@Walter Hinteler,
Ask him what is killing so many? Ask him why death rates are spiking at the same time auto deaths and murder rates dropped? None of the mopes will give another answer. Ask him if its not civid19 why our leaders in the WH haven't picked up on it.

Schumer Cried for Immigrants at JFK- But No Tears for Brooklyn’s Dead Seniors

Earlier in this thread Trump was raked over the coals for having no empathy, how about Schumer?
Quote:
How many of you remember Senator Chuck Schumer hightailing it from Brooklyn to Queens so he could hold an “emotional” January 29, 2017 presser at John F Kennedy Airport? Chucky was crying. He was upset because President Donald Trump temporarily banned immigration from seven designated terrorist nations. Schumer was also greatly troubled that a handful of disembarking, overseas, passengers had been delayed for screening.

Who can you compare to a politician, but another politician?
Quote:
Surely he must have weighed in when two institutions, The Phoenix Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, and Cobble Hill Health Center, within weeks, combined for more than 100 deaths. In a city swamped with overwhelmed nursing homes, they had, by far the worst record, and were less than two miles from Chuck’s office.

Certainly, a man with his connections could call friends in the media, take a 5-minute car ride, and at least offer heartfelt condolences along with promises of improvement to his grieving Brooklynites.

Romney Denounces Firings of IGs as ‘A Threat to Accountable Democracy’

Now we know what Trump is doing is a good thing.
Quote:
Romney brought up the ousters of other IGs and tweeted, “The firings of multiple Inspectors General is unprecedented; doing so without good cause chills the independence essential to their purpose. It is a threat to accountable democracy and a fissure in the constitutional balance of power.”

A sure sign these IG's have a political motive. None of this would be questioned in an Obama presidency.

Trump approval at Gallup ‘highest,’ better than Obama, Bush

Quote:
Despite a wave of critical news coverage and Democratic catcalls, President Trump sits at his “highest” approval in the latest Gallup survey, and above where four of the last six presidents, including Barack Obama and George W. Bush, were at this point of the first term.

After two weeks of bad news on the coronavirus and economic front, Trump maintained his 49% approval rating, and his disapproval crept up just 1 point, to 48% in the Gallup survey of adults, a broad test.

Gallup said that Trump’s approval is “tied for the best of his presidency.”

This was just not right. Anyone who thinks that a small group of powerful people and their useful idiots should get away with this have no idea of what American justice is, or what it should be. Not even close.

But it is Trump is no excuse.

Trump Blasts Obama As ‘Incompetent’ After Apparent Commencement Speech Jab

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-barack-obama-commencement-response_n_5ec18a70c5b6ccfb5fa319ca

The president claimed he hadn’t heard his predecessor’s remarks criticizing U.S. leadership during the coronavirus pandemic.

President Donald Trump on Sunday tore into former President Barack Obama, calling him “an incompetent president” after Obama appeared to criticize his response to the coronavirus crisis during two commencement speeches a day earlier.

Asked about Obama’s remarks, Trump told reporters on the White House lawn that he “didn’t hear it” before proceeding to bash his predecessor as “grossly incompetent.”

“Look, he was an incompetent president,” Trump said. “That’s all I can say. Grossly incompetent.”

It’s unclear if Trump was referring to a specific incident in his accusation. The White House did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s request for comment.

Obama delivered two virtual commencement addresses Saturday, the first for graduates of historically black colleges and universities, followed hours later by a prime time special for high school seniors.

“This pandemic has fully, finally torn back the curtain on the idea that so many of the folks in charge know what they’re doing,” Obama said during his first speech. “A lot of them aren’t even pretending to be in charge.”

In his second address, he took aim at “so-called grown-ups” with “fancy titles” who have “screwed up” the country by acting irresponsibly.

“Doing what feels good, what’s convenient, what’s easy — that’s how little kids think,” Obama said. “Unfortunately, a lot of so-called grown-ups, including some with fancy titles and important jobs, still think that way — which is why things are so screwed up. I hope that instead, you decide to ground yourself in values that last, like honesty, hard work, responsibility, fairness, generosity, respect for others.”

Many viewers interpreted the comments as a thinly veiled attack on Trump’s leadership.

Congrats to the high school Class of 2020, as well as to the teachers, coaches, and most of all, parents and family who’ve guided you along the way. Thanks for letting me be part of your big day! pic.twitter.com/RjYvHs2BhC

Until recently, Obama has largely refrained from publicly taking shots at Trump. But earlier this month, Obama reportedly bashed the Trump administration’s response to the pandemic as “an absolute chaotic disaster” during a phone call with some of his former White House aides.

Trump, however, repeatedly attacked Obama throughout his eight years in office, and has continued to do so since winning the 2016 election. Most recently, Trump has been obsessed with pushing the “Obamagate” conspiracy theory, claiming — without evidence — that Obama led a “coup” to sabotage his presidency.

When a Washington Post reporter last week asked Trump to explain “Obamagate,” the president refused.

“You know what the crime is,” Trump said. “The crime is obvious to everybody. All you have to do is read the newspapers, except yours.”

@revelette3,
The fat boy in the White House is scared witless that a tanking economy will cost him the election. That's the only thing he cares about. All he ever cares about is his own pathetic ass. The rest of the world can rot, so long as he gets what he wants.

Neurosurgeon Says Face Masks Pose Serious Risk to Healthy People

What does he know? A lot you do not.
Quote:
Beyond the lack of scientific data to support wearing a mask as a deterrent to a virus, Blaylock says the more pressing concern is what can and will happen to the wearer.

Now that we have established that there is no scientific evidence necessitating the wearing of a face mask for prevention, are there dangers to wearing a face mask, especially for long periods? Several studies have indeed found significant problems with wearing such a mask. This can vary from headaches, to increased airway resistance, carbon dioxide accumulation, to hypoxia, all the way to serious life-threatening complications.

There are studies to back that claim up.

And those studies are explained further at the link.

@coldjoint,
ya know. I think Ill stick with the CDC, the UK med Assn, Almost ALL teaching hospitals (like Johns Hopkins). In each of these institutions theyve got many many times the number of neurosurgeons , not to mention communicable disease specialist, as well as bioengineers , than some unknown blog site that accepts averts from LIBERTY U (Talk about antiscience college). I understand Im committing an absurdum ad lapidem but I figure that if you hang out with horse thieves you probably are a horse thief yerself. I think we need to inspect the claim that face masks dont do any good. Is that why the nations that have demanded their use are coming out of a period of infection after requirements to wear such face overs were instituted under pain of arrest and imprisonment?

Ya know, I wouldnt test this out lest some neighbor reminds you of your wisdom (and mostly selfishnss coupled with a blind belief in a lader who himself is a moron-in-chief)

Its really esy to come up with **** like that , just to gain notoriety. I suspect that this individual, writing for a known anti-science media rag, got at least 15 minutes of Warholian attention

It dont matter for you and how you "interpret one politicians orders"
California is just one of th 47 "winner take all" electoral college votes and in order for a "red wave" youd have to overcome the majority. I dont see tht coming in a presidential campign where the sitting president is a racist pig.

The problem with that is Trump is not a racist pig. He has been accused of being a racist pig. The last three years should prove the accusations do not mean ****.
