U.S. judge puts on hold Justice Dept. move to dismiss Michael Flynn's guilty plea

Source: Washington Post

https://democraticunderground.com/10142492342

A U.S. judge on Tuesday put on hold the Justice Department’s move to drop charges against Michael Flynn, saying he expects independent groups and legal experts to argue against the bid to exonerate President Trump’s former national security adviser of lying to the FBI.

U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan of Washington D.C. said he expects individuals and organizations will seek to intervene in the politically charged case.

Sullivan’s order came after the government took the highly irregular step last Thursday of reversing its stance on Flynn’s charges and embracing Flynn’s move to dismiss his own guilty pleas.

Flynn was convicted of lying to investigators about his contacts with Russia’s ambassador about easing U.S. sanctions during Trump’s presidential transition in special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation of interference in the 2016 election.

And all the Obama people that lied to Congress are free. Durham should take care of that.

American army veteran Terrance Popp has now been censored and pushed to the brink of removal from youtube.

The globalists fear truth and the sheeple eat up the propaganda and ask for seconds. Just look at this thread.

He hasn't been denied his freedom of speech. He was terminated for for violating the ToS that he voluntarily signed when he joined Youtube.

You obviously do not understand what the the First Amendment defines as your right to free speech.

What gives you any standing at at all to terminate my civil rights, that I was born with that I further earned serving in uniform, you proto-fascist?

Trump crashes and burns when asked to name the specific “crime” he alleges Obama committed
May 11, 2020
OD STAFF

With the full weight of his coronavirus failures hanging around his neck going into the 2020 election, Donald Trump has apparently decided the best way for him to strengthen his reelection chances is to hammer a convoluted conspiracy theory that he has taken to calling “Obamagate.”

OBAMAGATE makes Watergate look small time!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 11, 2020

Because it was OBAMAGATE, and he and Sleepy Joe led the charge. The most corrupt administration in U.S. history! https://t.co/PTzFvvITh3

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 11, 2020

As is always the case with his conspiracy theory peddling, Trump is relying on innuendos rather than facts, tossing out vague assertions, and employing generally nonsensical logic to muddy the waters of our political discourse.

Trump wants the American people to believe that Obama illicitly deployed the power of the federal government in an attempt to steal the 2016 election from Trump. The reality is that the FBI felt a need to investigate the Trump campaign because of its numerous shady connections to Russian operatives. There is no scandal, despite how badly Trump needs there to be.

Add your name to reject Trump & Republicans’ vile idea of sacrificing seniors’ lives to save the stock market!

During a press conference today, Trump was asked about his weekend tweet accusing Obama of committing the “biggest political crime in American history, by far!”

“What crime exactly are you accusing President Obama of committing and do you think the Justice Department should prosecute him?” asked the journalist.

“Uh, Obamagate,” Trump responded. “It’s been going on for a long time. It’s been going on from before I even got elected. And it’s a disgrace that it happened and if you look at what’s gone on and if you look at now all of this information that’s being released. And from what I understand that’s only the beginning.”

“Some terrible things happened and it should never be allowed to happen in our country again,” he went on, failing to name specifics. “And you’ll be seeing what’s going on over the coming weeks and I wish you’d write honestly about it but unfortunately you choose not to do so,” Trump said, before trying to move on to a new question.

“What is the crime exactly that you’re accusing him of?” the reporter interjected, pushing for a concrete answer.

“You know what the crime is. The crime is very obvious to everybody. All you have to do is read the newspapers, except yours,” Trump responded, seemingly incapable of conjuring up even a moderately plausible answer.

Of course, the reason why Donald Trump is unable to name the specific crime he alleges Obama committed is because Obama didn’t actually commit a crime. This entire Obamagate narrative is a transparent conservative smear job, a pathetic attempt to drum up controversy and pull the spotlight away from Trump’s pandemic failures.

Like so many other things when it comes to President Trump, “Obamagate” is nothing but hot air. Even the most cursory of scrutiny deflates the entire thing.

Right-wing hack Benny Johnson shared the clip on Twitter, apparently taking delight in the fact that the leader of his party is an incoherent old paranoiac.

@FreedomEyeLove,
How lovely you folks are....Sure, you think you don't like someones's beliefs or politics...lock them up, lock them up....They don't even have to commit a crime, you nitwits think you're in charge but you are circling the drain.

By the way, you are condemning people who have actually served this country, unlike you and your cohorts who just feel inadequate because you actually might be lacking something. It's okay to not serve, not everyone has the stomach for that, and that's why the others fight and serve so you can spout nonsense, your welcome.

Don't speak like you even know one goddamn thing about the situation. You don't.

When the Marxists are the only ones controlling the TOS at all these tech companies, and creating nebulous definitions that they selectively enforce against some but not others, that is denying free speech.

You are a pea brain who has no critical thinking skills whatsoever. It's not worth my time to argue with you. You actually want your freedom taken away. It's fine by me if you want to give your freedoms away like an imbecile, but you have no right to take other's freedoms away as well.

Please go live your life away from others where you can ride the short bus, and your stupidity cannot hurt people who actually respect this country and the constitution.
