They didn't stop to think about the implications of their actions. They didn't stop to think that all because they can, doesn't mean they should.
They didn't stop to think.

There is nothing wrong with free Americans exercising their Constitutional rights.

Their right, as members of a well regulated militia. Ask the grandkids to explain the second amendment to you. Hmmm . . . did the governor call out the militia?

People who are not in the militia still have the right to carry weapons for self defense.

But I do support bringing back the militia. Militiamen have the right to have M16s, grenades/grenade launchers, and even bazookas.

I wanna get a closet full of 84mm bazookas. No home invader's body armor will survive a hit from one of those.

Oh yes, indeed they do.

That is incorrect. The courts have repeatedly ruled that the Second Amendment applies to non-militiamen.

But like I said, let's bring back the militia anyway so I can buy some 84mm bazookas.

No that's not it at all. It's the actual fact that progressives really do hate America.

The only people here who try to rewrite history are progressives. You cannot provide any examples of Coldjoint rewriting history.

Fail.
You claimed that these were his words, "Look everyone, I think what that person thinks", but you have not shown one instance where he says this,

Don't be silly. When I use the words "I think what they think" I am not providing an exact quote from Blatham.

What I am doing is characterizing his routine where he blatantly tries to link himself to the views of (perceived) intellectuals in a pathetic effort to pretend that he is an intellectual too.

hightor wrote:
just as you cannot provide any evidence that "progressives ban pistol grips for fun".

Wrong again. The fact that no one can propose any other alternative motivation for violating people's civil liberties is ample evidence that the only motivation is that progressives enjoy violating people's civil liberties.

Such an odd complaint.

Well look. By itself your "I think what that other guy thinks" game is merely pathetic. You're pretty impotent and harmless.

But when you go around deriding the minds of those of us who can and do think for ourselves, now and then we respond by putting you in your place.

If you don't start crap with people who are better than you, you won't have to be reminded of your inferiority.

blatham wrote:
Very often I do think what some other person thinks. Hardly unusual for this to happen.

Most people post their own views instead of an endless deluge of other people's thoughts.

blatham wrote:
Our complainant likely and often finds himself thinking what Ronald Reagan thought or thinking what Trump thinks. Or Sean Hannity or Limbaugh, etc.

I do my own thinking. That's why people are seldom able to find an error in my posts.

@oralloy,
The history of the United States demonstrates just how useless the militia are. The thought that you want a bazooka to deal with some imaginary home invader demonstrates just how divorces from reality you are.

@oralloy,
Heller, which narrowly applied to the District of Columbia, and to hand guns for self-defense is the only ruling since The United States versus Miller, which has not mentioned the militia. Therefore, your "repeatedly" is typical of the hysterical falsehoods you habitually produce. You are delusional.

No lie. Progressives really do hate America. That's why they are always so eager for harm to come to America, and so happy when harm does come to America.

You cannot provide examples of untrue statements from any of my posts.

The alleged uselessness of the militia is beside the point. What is important is that as militiamen, people would have the right to buy their own military weapons and keep them at home.

Setanta wrote:

I don't want just one bazooka. These modern bazookas are single shot. I want a whole closet full of them. Multiple rounds.

Just think what a direct hit from one of these would do to a bad guy's body armor:

That is incorrect. First there was "McDonald v. City of Chicago", which applied the Second Amendment to all state and local governments.

And then there was "Caetano v. Massachusetts". So that's at least two subsequent rulings.

"New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. City of New York" did not result in a ruling only because New York withdrew their unconstitutional gun law before the court could strike it down.

Yesterday Australia eased restrictions on movement, opening up the radius of travel to 50 kilometers, or about 31 miles.

I'd been ignoring these restrictions, giving that I'm an essential worker, but we took the initiative, and had a Sunday drive, up a nearby mountain, and over the other side.

Quite the popular destination for motorcycle riders, and bushwalkers, at the crest, we found literally hundred of motorbikes parked up, and their riders casually consorting, and clearly ignoring distancing "etiquette".
