Looking back over the thread I see You Tube has pulled the Doctor video Builder posted.

The tory Australian "govt" ( I use the term very loosely), puts the onus on our ISPs to monitor "fake news", and fines them for not removing content "deemed to be" fake by unknown sources in the UK and USA.

I see the video is still available to me, so it must take a day or two for the info to be pushed down the line.

Late edit; This video has been removed for violating YouTube's Community Guidelines.

Judging by the fast five downthumbs on this post, the video did a great job of ruffling the feathers of the dogpile flock here.

That is what fact does to them. You would think they would tell us why the doctors are wrong, but......

I'm convinced that these 24/7 "presences" here are either on the payroll, or even hi-tech bots. I mean, the really arseholey ones are clearly human, but the general run of them could just be the one dork, behind ten puter screens.

Coronavirus Reality Check

Just the sheer number of articles like this show us how wrong experts can be and how dishonest the media can be.
Quote:
In other words, the science increasingly shows that the measures we have taken in the last few weeks have been both harmful—with freedoms lost, money spent, livelihoods destroyed—and pointless.

This statement will provoke outrage. Most will insist that it is not true. But a study from the Oise region of France found an infection rate of 25 percent—which, if it is true for France as a whole, suggests that the virus fatality rate in that country (which is considered hard-hit) is 0.13 percent. Studies of Santa Clara and Los Angeles County likewise show rates of infection far higher than experts imagined possible, indicating fatality rates of 0.1-0.2 percent, again in line with Ioannidis’s analysis. A study of women at a New York hospital who gave birth during the pandemic, and a study of a homeless shelter in Boston, likewise point to a disease far more widespread than testing has identified—and therefore with a far lower fatality rate than previously thought.

@coldjoint,
The video you mentioned being pulled by youtube was apparently saved by several people, and it's been reposted. Let me know if it's available there.

@Builder,
Yup. I've seen it here and on one other forum. I did notice they took percentages of infected of those tested and extrapolated the percentages of those not tested. Doesn't seem like a valid technique since the people tested are a select group. The ones tested had to have real symptoms or contact with someone known to be infected or both.

Not saying they are wrong, but you can't prove it with a technique like that.

By Rowan Scarborough - The Washington Times - Saturday, April 25, 2020

The attorney for retired Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn says the Justice Department has provided “stunning” new evidence that proves the former Trump national security officer was “framed” by FBI agents.

Attorney Sidney Powell filed a legal notice Friday night in U.S. District Court as an addendum to her pending motion that the 2017 perjury conviction should be overturned and the entire case dismissed.

“This afternoon, the government produced to Mr. Flynn stunning Brady evidence that proves Mr. Flynn’s allegations of having been deliberately set up and framed by corrupt agents at the top of the FBI,” Ms. Powell said.

SEE ALSO: Supplement to Michael Flynn motion to dismiss (April 24, 2020)

The new evidence came from U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri Jeffrey Jensen, whom Attorney General William Barr named in January to review the prosecution.

The Flynn prosecution led by special counsel Robert Mueller was under legal order to turn over any exculpatory, or Brady, material to Ms. Powell. She had filed a series of motions listing denied Brady evidence.

@Builder,
I ee the GOP is slowly starting to discover its balls along with a fading admiration for "Trump-world". Trump will have at least two challengers in upcoming primaries and at least 5 sitting GOP Senators are considering retirement "for cause" and not running for office.

His increasingly erratic behavior and speech ( especially his dumass walkback about his injecting Clorox or other disinfectants.

So, letsGet rid of the comb -over schmuck and disinfect the WH.

@farmerman,
Thirty years ago I thought the GOP was a good counterbalance for the Democrats, I liked the plus and minus and need for compromise.....The people who pretend to be Republicans at this time are craven authoritarians who only care about oppression and packing the Supreme Court and all the Federal Courts. In other words, it's their way or the highway. Are you Gay??? Too bad, you can't be employed anywhere....are you a woman? Shut up and stop clamoring for contraception...if you get pregnant we will worship you until the baby draws it's first breath...after that you are a welfare queen or the reason the American family isn't as wonderful as it was back in your imagination....Oh are you a born again Christian Jesus loving victim???? Yes, proclaim the terrible truth of how 'someone' is persecuting you ninny's...worship the hucksters who promise you wealth for your devotion to the dollar.......

If Jesus walked the earth today, you would have a lot of explaining to do......unless he tossed you out of the mega churches for being a greedy charlatan.....then you would be up in arms protesting the upstart. Those of you proclaiming to be Christians really need to sober up and remember what (all religions) teach, feed the poor, protect the injured.....do I really have to remind you folks what it's supposed to be???

I'm done with organized religion...it's great that there are still people who are willing to help their fellow man...but that's not a christian only belief...that's a humanitarian goal.

Whats happening to the children of refugees kidnapped from their parents at border crossings????? Are they victims of Covid-19 or Donald Trump? Do they have a bar of soap or a toothbrush??? The world will judge us harshly, and we will deserve it.

I see you didn't read the article.

It's only fair that I return the favour.

You might tell G-bag that she's terrible at platitudes and tugging at heart strings, seeing as how she has no heart, or a clue about appealing to those who do.

This is exactly like running to the street corner, and yelling out that your uncle's sister's mother's boyfriend might have a head cold, I heard from a tweet.

Only if his uncle’s sister’s mother’s boyfriend was a self promoted public figure who had advocated ignoring cautions about a virus then admitted to reporters that he had contracted that virus. Then, yeah - same thing exactly.

No it isn't. It's exactly like someone with covid-19 posting that they have it on Facebook and the media picking up the story and reporting it.

@snood,
Haha! I notice that this character feels compelled to reject any article or news story that doesn't tow the "covid = hoax" line of reasoning. But he'll repost videos of some osteopath telling us not to wear masks or some jerk hawking chloroquinine.
