@farmerman,

Laura Ingraham she still hockin Chloroquines?? I think not.

Actually she has done so a couple of times lately even while Trump and Fox generally have dropped the prior cheer-leading. Here's one instance from Apr 22...
Quote:
LAURA INGRAHAM (HOST): Well, the jackals at Media Matters thought they had their prey trapped, and now, journalism is such a joke that even The Washington Post and tonight the New York Times reflexively joined the pig pile. It's just pathetic.

Now, I'm not a doctor, I don't play one on TV, but renowned French virologist Dr. Didier Raoult released his own study on hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin just a few weeks ago. It demonstrated 91% effectiveness in more than 1,000 patients with zero side effects. There was one outcome that was not good, but in the patients that recovered, there was zero side effects.
MM

But in that case, she's really trying to do some damage control for Fox's (and her own) past record promoting the idiotic idea.
Fox News has promoted hydroxychloroquine nearly 300 times in a two-week period

At current rates, US pandemic deaths will exceed the number of names on the Vietnam Wall by Monday night.

(53,000 now; current increase ~2,500+ per day; 58,000 on the wall.)

The fact that there are warnings like "Do not drink" on bottles of bleach makes me realise that Donald Trump can become president.

That is a cheerful note. What is the matter with people? Ghouls.

Navy Leaders Recommend Reinstating Roosevelt Captain Fired Over Virus Warning

Capt. Brett E. Crozier should be restored to command of the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt, the Navy’s top officials recommended on Friday.

But Defense Secretary Mark T. Esper, who was briefed on the recommendations, has asked for more time to consider whether to sign off on reinstating the captain of the nuclear-powered carrier.

Mr. Esper received the recommendation from the chief of naval operations, Adm. Michael M. Gilday, and the acting Navy secretary, James McPherson. Defense Department officials said earlier that they expected to announce the results of the Navy’s investigation into the matter on Friday afternoon.

Mr. Esper’s decision to hold up the investigation has surprised Navy officials, who believed that the defense secretary would leave the process in the hands of the military chain of command.

...Still, it was unclear exactly where the president now stands on the reinstatement of Captain Crozier, and Mr. Esper’s decision not to immediately accept the recommendation that the captain be reinstated could reflect a fear of getting on the wrong side of his boss, officials said.
WP

I don't know why Esper might be concerned. Trump's response to contradiction has always been big-hearted, gracious and marked most of all by Christian humility.

William Barr really really really doesn't want to see the Mueller grand jury materials released. Lawfare blog

Of the horrid crowd in this administration aside from Trump, perhaps even more than Trump, Barr is arguably the most dangerous threat to US democracy.

Lawfare is a much bigger threat to democracy than Barr.

During the Obama administration the Lawfare group:[2]

(1) weaponized the IRS for political targeting;
(2) weaponized the DOJ and FBI for political targeting;
(3) weaponized the intelligence community for political activism;
(4) created new legal theories around ‘disparate impact’ to weaponize the National Labor Relations Board; and generally used embedded officials to advance far-left political interests across the spectrum of government.

After the 2016 presidential election the Lawfare group immediately sought to:

(1) delegitimize the presidency of Donald Trump;
(2) delegitimize National Security Advisor General Michael Flynn;
(3) target, disempower and isolate Attorney General Jeff Sessions;
(4) delegitimize AG Bill Barr and the institution of the FBI outside their control;
(5) delegitimize DHS, Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE);
(6) delegitimize Justice Brett Kavanaugh and any institution or office that would now be removing or overturning their former Lawfare constructs;
(7) hired on as staff to House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler's impeachment probe.[3

@blatham,
That's the "bleach" he's talking about. (chloroquine)

He also managed to get doctors to admit that vaccinations (yes, they contain disinfectants) are dangerous.

@Builder,
Do you find it at all odd or inappropriate that Trump has not yet uttered one word of condolence to any of the families of the 50,000 people who have died in the last couple months?

I don't watch the media much at all.

But I do believe the numbers are being blown out of proportion.

You're welcome to believe what you like, but the stats are posted up daily, to show just how ridiculous the numbers in western nations have become.

@Setanta,
Yeppers, vaccines are totally safe.

That's why this "no-fault fund" exists, right?
Paid for by taxpayers, rather than big pharma.

I guess that doesn't affect you, though, considering where you reside.

It used to be that if someone told you they were praying for you in difficult times, you would appreciate the sentiment regardless of whether you shared their religious beliefs or not.

Nowadays, there are people who will get angry and resentful if you reach out to them with your belief system, because they only want to be reached out to with their own or not at all.

How do you figure out which people appreciate outreach even if they don't share your beliefs vs. which people would rather you not say anything if you don't know what they believe and what they want to hear?

Deaths per million column.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Not to be forgetting that the MSM already claimed that the USA has eclipsed other nations, for deaths per million, which we all know is bullshit.
