I'm not exactly laughing, because I worry about our economy with his 35% tariff. That's going to make everything more expensive, and it will destroy jobs.

@cicerone imposter,
Obama was an extremely likable president with bad ideas. Trump makes me cringe sometimes, but has good ideas. So I would have a beer with Obama and than thank Trump for skyrocketing our Stock market and saving jobs before even taking presidency.

@maporsche,
Okay let me see if I can explain this so even you can understand it. In January 2015 the Air Force announced the contract for Air Force One package and Boeing was awarded 25 million dollars initially for the deal... the budget was supposed to be for 1.6 billion dollars over the course of 10 years... apparently the budget has ballooned to close to four billion dollars... Costs could not have gone up that much in so short of a time. Your original post citing that the 1.6 billion dollar deal was for planes from 1984 is WRONG...again.

@giujohn,
Okay, let me see if I can put this in words that even you can understand. You win, you are too dim to understand contracting. But thats fine with me. let Trump be Trump and make sure Pence and Eddie Munster accompany him on every flight. Because he is so sharp, he will figure out how to avoid ....................nevermind, I'm sorry, you guys are all experts.....and probably experts on presidential protection. If you guys don't care, I can't be bothered. Carry on dim wits.

@tony5732,
Do you really mean that Trump has good ideas? His wall and adding a 35% tariff is going to put our fragile economy into recession. It's going to add cost for everything we buy, and there will be massive job loss.
His wall will cost billions to build, and billions to maintain. Trump said Mexico will pay for the wall, but the Mexican president already said "no."

What did you have for dinner? Having a bad day???

Clearly we have failed to live up to your expectations, and don't understand, as perhaps only you do, the nuances of bureaucratic aggrandisement and self inflation.

It seems to me the imperial trappings of our government have gotten a bit out of control and it is indeed time to come back a little closer to the earth I welcome Trump's decision in this mattrer.

The simplest way is to penalize anyone or any company that hires illegals. The fine can be high for each illegal hire - like $10,000 per or $25,000 per.

Lobbying by Bob Dole Led to Trump’s Call With Taiwan

The former senator turned lobbyist helped establish the high-level contacts that led to the call between President-elect Donald J. Trump and Taiwan’s leader.
Mr. Dole’s firm received $140,000 from May to October for the work on behalf of Taiwan, according to disclosure documents.

@giujohn,
As long as it over 50% in these partisan times that is pretty good to be going out on considering democrats only represents 40% something of the voting public. Bill Clinton went out the best which was fantastic considering he was impeached. (the best between those two, not sure what Ronald Reagan approval rating was.)

I'm a Democrat but I've gotta admit it's now Trump 2, Dems 0

Following President-elect Trump's surprise phone call on Friday with the Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen...Academics in D.C. this morning are claiming that, “Trump…doesn’t have clue." An expert at the University of California added that the call was “impulsive.”...Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) went so far as to say that Trump’s actions might push the nation into war with China.

What academics and my party don’t understand is that he’s not interested in starting a war. He simply recognizes that we’re already in one.

Politically, Trump has now beaten Democrats twice in one week. His efforts in Indiana to save jobs at Carrier made him look tough and focused on the American worker. And now he’s pushing back against the greatest job killer of all: Communist China.

So rather than bash Trump reflexively, I beg my party to be smarter. Stop broadcasting knee-jerk press releases over phone calls, especially when they’re designed to punish a thief. Instead, let’s double down on Trump’s move.

Kinda funny that every time Trump makes bold moves and refuses to do "business as usual," Blathy says he's not "draining the swamp" and that he's a "con man," eh?

Nice try, cheese-eater.

@glitterbag,
Well maybe I don't understand Contracting (but I'm sure I do)... then again I guess you don't seem to understand Trump. Trump's comments about the Air Force One package is a shot across Boeing's bow and all other contractors precipitated by comments made by Boeing regarding their opinions on on what they believe to be Trump's meddling with their idea of the free market and their decision to build military aircraft in India instead of the United States. And while the budget for the Air Force One project has ballooned to about three and a half billion Trump of course rounded it up to four. He demonstrated to them how effective his bully pulpit is even when he hasn't been sworn in yet as evidenced by the immediate 1% loss on their stock.

Oh and on a side note talk to your doctor about increasing your Xanax dosage.

The following is from a stanch republican elector, needless to say, I don't agree with his political views but I hope more electors follow his suit. But I doubt we will be so lucky.

Why I Will Not Cast My Electoral Vote for Donald Trump

Quote:
DALLAS — I am a Republican presidential elector, one of the 538 people asked to choose officially the president of the United States. Since the election, people have asked me to change my vote based on policy disagreements with Donald J. Trump. In some cases, they cite the popular vote difference. I do not think president-elects should be disqualified for policy disagreements. I do not think they should be disqualified because they won the Electoral College instead of the popular vote. However, now I am asked to cast a vote on Dec. 19 for someone who shows daily he is not qualified for the office.

Fifteen years ago, as a firefighter, I was part of the response to the Sept. 11 attacks against our nation. That attack and this year’s election may seem unrelated, but for me the relationship becomes clearer every day.
