The French Connection: Trump Family Trusts Are Invested in Hydroxychloroquine Maker
Source: MSN

President Donald Trump and his allies in the conservative media sphere have repeatedly pushed the health benefits of anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine for patients who have contracted the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). While scientific opinion on the efficacy of the drug for treatment of the COVID-19 disease is necessarily shy of consensus, Trump himself has a personal financial interest in a French drugmaker that produces a brand-name version of the medication.

President Donald Trump offered a bold proposal Wednesday for when COVID-19 is done infecting and killing Americans by the thousands: Forget it ever happened.

“Once we OPEN UP OUR GREAT COUNTRY, and it will be sooner rather than later, the horror of the Invisible Enemy, except for those that sadly lost a family member or friend, must be quickly forgotten,” he tweeted on Wednesday. “Our Economy will BOOM, perhaps like never before!!!”
TPM

Pre-emptive move to pronounce all investigations and news coverage of his failures as counter to recovery. Watch Fox and allies like Lindsey Benghazi Graham duplicate this.

A man plays a concert outside my window every night at 6 and 7. He’s good. The neighbors scream for him like the Beatles on Ed Sullivan until he comes out. Everyone steps out onto their fire escapes with their kids or drinks or significant other and dances. I love New York City.

Disaster in motion: Where flights from coronavirus-ravaged countries landed in US

Thousands of flights came into US as coronavirus raged.

An ABC News joint investigation with its owned television stations sheds new light on the likely flow of the coronavirus from global hotspots into the U.S. and provides a glimpse the toll the virus has taken on some of the first Americans to interact with international travelers: airport workers.

From December through March, as severe outbreaks cropped up in China and then Italy and Spain, among others, thousands of flights from the hard-hit nations poured into U.S. cities, according to an ABC News analysis of more than 20 million flight records obtained from the tracking service Flightradar-24.

While it is unclear the precise number of passengers into the U.S. who were infected with the coronavirus, the medical experts told ABC News such a huge pool of people virtually assures that a number had the highly contagious disease...

Iraq War Contractor Lands $40M Deal to Build Covid-19 Field Hospital

A defense company that bungled an enormous Iraq War contract for health care centers has landed a $40 million award to build a 200-bed field hospital for New Yorkers battling Covid-19.

...By contrast, the makeshift hospital that the Army Corps of Engineers constructed inside Jacob K. Javits Convention Center has 20 times the capacity as its Bronx equivalent and is nearly $10 million cheaper.

You mean the CORPS of engineers. I don't think the stockpile of supplies is in Illinois. Or in his control.

I said the National Guard in his state is under his control. And I mean the ARMY Corp of Engineers. I have no idea what you are talking about.

A desperate attempt that Obama got caught at. It was not a peaceful transition of power in anyway shape or form. Vital information was withheld. Information like he was being spied on, which Obama knew.

That Obama did not replenish the supplies he used is fact not a scapegoat.

I have already debunked that claim. Trump has a very small investment in that business that amounts to practically nothing. It is no more than part of a portfolio and has nothing to do with the drug that actually works on many.

@coldjoint,
Go read your post, dummy, you called them the Core of Engineers. Remember an apple a day keeps Covid away, right? The stockpile isn't under the control or the storage of the National Guard. But Jared seems to have his unsanitized hands on it.

@coldjoint,
Goo back and read your posts. The Guard couldnt give Pritzker the access to the supplies in question. And your sattempts to lay blame for the shortage of masks on Obama are bgogus.

Trump Was Right, Cuomo Was Wrong About Ventilator Needs

Quote:
President Donald Trump was pilloried by the media for questioning whether New York would actually need 30,000 additional ventilators or 40,000 ventilators total as claimed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo in late March. New models from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation show that New York already reached its peak projected ventilator usage on April 8, with a projected need of 5,008. The actual use may have been even lower.

Anyone think the NYT is going to point that fact out?

@MontereyJack,
Firstly, and most obviously, trump had three plus years and numerous warnings of unpreparedness and did NOTHING
Except play a lot of golf and throw paper towels at hurricane-ravaged American citizens in Puerto Rico, who went without power or drinkable water or functioning hospitals for months. Help them? Not on trump
s radar.

Secondly, Obama used the stockpile seven times to save lives during his two terms. The GOP you will remember kept cutting Obama's budget, no matter how dire the need.
h
The stockpile decided to spend the limited funds they got in emergency medicines and drugs that would not be available quickly enough from the private sector, while things like masks and respirators would be available fromm the private sector. Given limited money, that made a lot of sense.
Valid prioritizing certainly. As it turns out GOP intransigence and Trump's fecklessness in not doing his duty, fucked us up.

@coldjoint,
that was widely reported today by the so called msm. Widely followed social distancing had a large impact on holding need down. Trump and his idiots like Nunes certainly were no help
in that.
