Not only is voter suppression a problem in this country,

It is not a serious problem. It is hyped garbage ( mainly to insert the race card) and affects 0 election results. The dead voters on the rolls are the problem and that is voter fraud which is a problem.

@coldjoint,
That's nonsense as usual.. Dead voters on the rolls are not voter fraud but an artifact of the fact pthere is no one system of reporting every death and the fact that where many eople die bears no relation to where they were registered, so the word never gets to their local version of an election commission..

W. there is zero evidence that people widely vote in the name of a dead voter. That's another GOP meme that they fulminate about but have no reliable evidence for.

@Brand X,
That really shouldn't surprise anyone, the Russians have been incredibly successful in causing disruptions in our election process. I don't think they are pro or con Bernie, I think they have a larger game planned. The important thing to remember is that the Russians are not pro-democracy nor pro-America.

We had better put a stop to it before they manage to have us tear each other apart.

@coldjoint,
Nonsense. You're making the totaslly unwarranted assumption that everybody should accept the bizarre conservative frame of mind and unite behind its obvious fallaciousness. The conservatives and their return to the days of Genghis khan are tearing the country apart.

@MontereyJack,
What's tearing the country apart are the progressives and their witch hunts against people who disagree with them.

President Donald Trump’s new acting intelligence director, Richard Grenell, used to do consulting work on behalf of an Eastern European oligarch who is now a fugitive and was recently barred from entering the U.S. under anti-corruption sanctions imposed last month by the State Department.

In 2016, Grenell wrote several articles defending the oligarch, a Moldovan politician named Vladimir Plahotniuc, but did not disclose that he was being paid, according to records and interviews. Grenell also did not register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which generally requires people to disclose work in the U.S. on behalf of foreign politicians.

FARA is the same law that Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort and former deputy campaign manager Rick Gates were convicted of violating. (Manafort went to trial. Gates pleaded guilty.)
ProPublica via TPM

Damn good chance Trump's staff knew this (and that Grenell has zero qualifications for such responsibilities) and presumed it would all come out, particularly in a confirmation hearing) and that's why it is a temporary posting.

@oralloy,
Nonsense. Trujmp has surrounded himself with the most corrupt political operatives in the country--like calls to like. They've been tried in the American jiustice system, convicted, and sentenced. Never been any witch hunt. Trump has never been anything else but divisive, never will be anything but divisive. it's the GOP who slavishly follow him and his and their thirst for unbridled power that are tearing the country apart.

@MontereyJack,
When progressives abuse the law to harm people who disagree with them, that's a witch hunt.

When progressives hate everyone who disagrees with them, progressives are the cause of the divisiveness.

You are projecting exactly what consumes the people consumed with Trump. They are arrogant and intolerant to an extent never seen in American politics.
They condone violence by their silence. They attack family and invent crimes that do not exist. The MSM tells you they are somehow justified for being partisan assholes and bend the laws through bias interpretation for fools to consume as truth. You are one of those fools to the greatest extent.

conservatives really hate it when sleazy political operaives who think they don't have to obey the laws because iaws stand in the way of taking all the corrupt influence money want to gobble up, are caught, tried, and convicted. They babble that justice is really a witch hunt. That's just babble.

You do notice I trust that Trump repeatedly contends s that he has the absolute power to do whatever he wants and no one can stop him. Which pretty much proves my point.

He has a pen and a phone too. Trump's overreach is nowhere near Obama's. It highlights the double standard and hypocrisy everyone sees. That is why people like you continue to repeat yourselves. It has to be constantly reinforced and projected.

You're a constant repeater yourself. It gets extremely tiresome.
Trump is in a class by himself in terms of narcissism, power grabs and overreach. The detyermining characteristic of fascism is a leader who maintains he's all powerful. That's where trump is heading, and he thinks he's there already and there are no constraints on his power as far as he's concerned. Next stop, hgitler. Just lkook at a trump rally and then look at leni Riefenstahl's Nuremberg.
