@coldjoint,
John bolton has been a warhawk rest of the world denigrator for years about as far rigjt as you can get without overtly shifting into naziism so when trump pulls off something so outre even bolton is revolted and calls it a drug deal id be inclined to beleve him. And of course we have seen indisputably that trump lies about anything and everything, particularlhy about something that shows him as a poltroon.u

Of course, exactly the same can be said of Trump.

That does not change the fact there was no crime. In a foreign policy dispute the President wins. Our Constitution makes that clear. Second guessing is meaningless.

@izzythepush,
Thanks. Those are good lyrics.

Please remember Víctor Jara, in the Santiago stadium refers to

... a Chilean teacher, theater director, poet, singer-songwriter and communist[2] political activist tortured and killed during the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. He developed Chilean theater by directing a broad array of works, ranging from locally produced plays to world classics, as well as the experimental work of playwrights such as Ann Jellicoe. He also played a pivotal role among neo-folkloric musicians who established the Nueva Canción Chilena (New Chilean Song) movement. This led to an uprising of new sounds in popular music during the administration of President Salvador Allende. ...

. On the morning of 12 September 1973, Jara was taken prisoner, along with thousands of others, and imprisioned inside Chile Stadium.[17][18] The guards there tortured him, smashing his hands and fingers, and then mocked him by asking him to play the guitar. Jara instead sung the Chilean protest song Venceremos. Soon after, he was killed with a gunshot to the head, and his body was riddled with more than 40 bullets.

Re the importance/relevance of Kelly's statement, Steve Benen makes a very telling point.
Quote:
It’s worth noting for context that the retired Marine general, who served alongside the president in the West Wing for a year and a half, had an opportunity to get to know Trump very well – and in this context, that matters quite a bit.

Confronted with reports that Trump told Bolton that he was withholding military aid to a vulnerable ally because he hoped to extort Ukraine into helping him cheat in an election, Kelly could’ve said, “I know the president and there’s no way he’d ever say or do anything like this.”

Instead, Kelly said he believes Bolton, praising the former national security advisor’s honesty, integrity, and character – words Kelly hasn’t applied to his former boss.

Kelly is not the president, and Benen is a hack.

This is a headline at the WP but there's no further data on it
Quote:
Impeachment trial live updates: McConnell tells GOP senators he does not have the votes to block witnesses in Trump's impeachment trial

If it's true, that's a very big thing.

Another from AP has it McConnell says he does not have the votes yet. And that's apparently the case (WSJ also reporting this).

One or two more decapitated horses ought to do the trick.

Jared Kushner, senior adviser to the President, says the White House's Middle East plan is "a great deal" and if Palestinians reject it, “they’re going to screw up another opportunity, like they’ve screwed up every other opportunity that they’ve ever had in their existence.”

But as some analysts have suggested, this is really not at all about any viable peace process, it's about trying to help Netanyahu in the next election. And Bibi definitely does not want a peace plan of any type that grants Palestinians a viable and free society on their land. He has bragged about killing the Oslo accords.

Need to keep our eye on other countries so we can learn from their mistakes. This is certainly one of them.

Britain Commits Suicide to Avoid Being Called Racist

Quote:
Britain has become a shabby little police state in which it is illegal to criticize Islam and mass Muslim migration. Its death as a free society is by its own hand.

That has to be prevented here. The truth about Islam from our media would help, but do not count on it. We can prevent this from happening here.

Gallup Poll: Race Relations Better Under Trump Than Obama…

They would have to be.
Quote:
New details from a Gallup survey on satisfaction said race relations and the “position” of minorities under Trump are far higher than they were under President Barack Obama, the nation’s first black president.

Race relations scored the highest satisfaction advance, 14 points, from 22% at the end of the Obama administration to 36% this month, said Gallup.

And, “The position of blacks and other racial minorities in the nation” jumped 9 points, from 37% in January 2017 to 46% now.

If you dislike the Trump Peace Plan, the Oralloy Peace Plan is an alternative:

If any Palestinians choose war and violence over peacemaking, Israel will defend themselves against their aggression.

His offer was way too generous to the Palestinians for my tastes. But whatever. The offer has been presented, so it's on the table.

If the Palestinians decide to accept the peace offer, I will bite my tongue and support the offer.

Yep. Mr. Kushner certainly has that one right.

These warmongers can make any excuse they want for rejecting peace, but Israel is going to defend themselves from any aggression, and the consequences of that defense will be entirely the fault of the warmongers who rejected peace.

Notice how Mr. Netanyahu is the one who is offering peace, and the Palestinians are the ones who are rejecting peace?

@oralloy,
the violent thug was George Zimmerman. Trayvon was just trying to go home to watch the b'ball game. The thug Zimmerman profiled him, chased him into his own backyard, accosted him and then killed him. Murdertred an innocent unarmed black kid.

I do not want to discuss this but everything you said is a lie. Why perpetuate it? To keep racism alive? Even if it means lying?

@MontereyJack,
You must know that only the braindead and amoral in this country love the idea that older males can chase unarmed 14 year old young males, and make them fear they were about to be raped.....the pity is that Trayvon didn't simply allow Zimmerman to violate him sexually, you know, like....... just lay back and enjoy it?????

It's just too sad that Trayvon was frighted and wanted to avoid a rape or assault, and had this lofty notion he could actually buy some skittles and head back to his Dad's house peacefully.

That big beefy wife beating asshole could not resist just pick a kid minding his own business, and then shoot him because the child resisted his advances is such a violation of everything that is supposed to be decent and caring. Only the dregs of society are excited over Zimmerman -like-thugs bending young boys to their sick fantasies.......Happy Fathers Day to the creeps.
