The fascists abused the process. Un-elected liars and manipulators that are not on the Right in any way shape or form. You are projecting again.

That's a lot of fact-free nonsense

Pot meet kettle.

The law does govern the process. Nevertheless, why do you think Lyndsey Graham wanted checks and balances, but "at least on campaigns." It is because he knew those loose tactics have been employed for years with warrants in regards to spies and terrorist and FISA and everybody knows it and has known it which is why leftist have been complaining about it for years. Now the FBI is going to reform those tactics and it is a good thing in the end.

I see that your explanation for the very strange and unusual violations of explicit provisions in the FISA law that attended the manufactured Trump investigation is that others have been doing such stuff ( lying on a FISA court application, distorting the evidence cited in the application and omitting exculpatory evidence) for a long time. In the first place this is no excuse, however it would be useful if you could provide some factual basis for your assertion.

@BillW,
Al Jazeera is the place to go for ME News.

Quote:
Rockets slammed into an Iraqi airbase north of Baghdad on Sunday where US troops have been based, wounding at least four Iraqi troops. No immediate information about American casualties was reported.

At least six rockets struck the Al Balad base, which hosts American trainers, advisers and a company that provides maintenance services for F-16 aircraft. Some projectiles fell on a restaurant inside the airbase, officials said.

The attack came just days after Iran fired ballistic missiles at two bases in Iraq that house US forces, causing no casualties.

@tribelaw
With the Sec Def’s concession that he didn’t see any specific evidence of an imminent threat that made killing Soleimani an act of self-defense, it’s increasingly looking like summary execution without trial just to keep this president in office. Another gross abuse of power.

Yet that's not all. The SD also said that no evidence came to him (and he gets the daily intel briefing) that four embassies were being targeted. He added, "But I trust President Trump".

So whatever went on, Trump lied about it all. Who'd have thought he would do such a thing as lie.

Likewise, in the briefing the WH gave to Congress...
Quote:
When Tapper asked [Republican Sen. Mike} Lee whether Trump’s claim that there was a threat against four U.S. embassies was brought up during last week’s briefing, Lee said he “didn’t hear anything about that” and that “several of my colleagues have said the same.”

@blatham,
Well, but since O’Brien (White House national security adviser) said on ABC’s "This Week", it was fair to anticipate a future Iranian attack "would have hit embassies in at least four countries" Trump lied only mediocre.

Isn't that a convincing explanation and rationale. Here's another from the Wall Street Journal...
Quote:
“Mr. Trump, after the strike, told associates he was under pressure to deal with Gen. Soleimani from GOP senators he views as important supporters in his coming impeachment trial in the Senate, associates said.”

Where is the convincing explanation that the world is not better off with a dead terrorist and a scared Iran? I do not see one, and have not heard one yet..

Murdoch has nothing to do with decisive actions of the president. There is a whole list of people who approve of his actions including prominent generals, some retired by Obama.

There is no challenge here. Appeasement shows weakness that is not the impression this administration wants to leave Iran with.

You realize if the Left had an agenda like this with Islam it would go along way with badmouthing Christians. As it is, your outright hypocrisy takes any credibility out of this and makes it an attack on Christianity.

The Mclaughlin Group discuss political events. Trump has done the seemingly impossible: his Iran stance has united the conservative and liberal elements of this group including Pat Buchanan, Eleanor Clift, and Clarence Page.. 1/10/2020
