Iran has launched another volley of missile strikes on a number of American facilities in Iraq, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency. The new round of missiles follows the first by just over an hour.

“A few minutes ago [3:30 am local time] the second wave of Iranian missile attacks on the US base is launched,” the news outlet reported.

The IRGC claims that Ayatollah Khamenei is currently in the "control center" coordinating the attacks.

CNN is reporting that the US president is about to address the nation from the Oval Office tonight.

The Pentagon confirmed earlier on Tuesday that “more than a dozen” Iranian ballistic missiles had been fired on US bases, including the Al-Asad airbase in western Iraq, vowing to “take necessary measures” to protect American personnel in the region. Several additional missiles were reportedly fired on another US facility near the city of Erbil, a Pentagon spokesman told Reuters.

Just heard Richard Engel point out Putin is in Tehran this evening and his does like to play "Peace Maker" to tRump (wolf in sheep's clothing). I was aware of both of these facts but I'm grateful to him mentioning this. We can only wait and see.

@BillW,
China also has skin in this game.

Will be interesting to see how diplomacy plays out in this second round.

Looks like no American deaths. Hope this comes out to be factual.

Found out these missiles that were used are fairly accurate and all fired at a side of the air base well away from the American side.

On purpose!?

Seems illogical that with today's tech, you can miss a dozen times on the same target.

I'm calling chess move, myself.

A Ukrainian 737 just crashed in Iran:

I doubt that this was related to any military hostilities. But it looks like there were a lot of people on board. No word as of when I am posting this how severe the crash was.

@Builder,
These missiles from my understanding were not "today's technology", but 25-50 yards or 220-50 miles is not out of reason. Definitely chess match, leaves excuse for de escalation while looking political good to the Iranians. They already claimed to the people; more 30 Americans killed, you could hear their screaming. Where have I heard this rhetoric before? I can't remember.......

There are perks to being president. And you are talking about what was said about another terrorist? Does it bother you when we are mean to them?

@coldjoint,
Are you actually admitting Trump is a terrorist? It makes sense, terrorists and Donal Trump exaggerate situations and blur facts to appear stronger than they really are. It's really 'Bully, 101', if I can scare you I win. I'm sure it was the 11th commandment.

Oh, by the way, in case anyone's interested:

The majority of the #IraniansDetestSoleimani tweets are coming from USA, Canada, UK, and Germany. Almost 50% from USA.
