He's literally admitting Bannon has value to the NSC as a *propagandist* - anyone see problem w/this?
In reviewing the dialogue excerpts you posted above I don't see that at all. Gorka was responding to Cornish's questions regarding his professional experience since leaving the Navy early in his professional career. Certainly his success in creating a successful media enterprise was a relevent response.
David Axelrod was a named "Senior Strategy Advisor" to President Obama, and in that capacity he also serverd on Obama's NSC. Both men had made their careers largely in politics or political commentary, though Axelrod was far more focused in the narrower area of campaign strategy and management. I suspect Obama made Axelrod a senior advisor not because of his life's work in managing successful Democrat Political campaigns, but rather because he had learned to value Axelrod's advice in complex political situations.
In contrast Bannon has a much more varied, political, financial and national security background, starting an advanced degree in national Security studies; later, as a Junior officer in the Navy was made a Special Assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations ( unusual); pursued a career in investment banking as Goldman Sachs, and later started his own firm. Following that and through a circuitous path became a producer in the Holywood and media industry and llater CEO of a media firm later leading him to the founding of Breitbart News.
Overall it an impressive record suggesting a talented, multifaceted individual who achieved prominence in several somewhat related fields rather quickly. Saying he's merely a propagandist ignores a lot.
Anyway, even if Bannon is merely a "propagandist" you should take hope. There may be a bright future in the field for you.
