Why doesn’t Bloomberg run as a Republican? That’s what he is. Maybe the last string of decent republicans can get him in.

If Bloomberg runs as an independent, he definitely pulls from Trump.

Centrist voters may choose a billionaire over Centrist Warren, but Bloomberg’s entry strengthens Bernie voters’ resolve. It is a boon for us.

The other billionaire who came in to defeat us just got caught trying to pay for endorsements.

Exactly what we despise. Exactly why we send our money to Bernie.

Bring it on.

Well, Lash, let me clear up your question: why doesn’t Bloomberg run as a Republican since that’s his party and ‘he really wants Trump removed’?

Bloomberg isn’t focused on getting trump out—neither is the democrat establishment.

The billionaires, their minions in government and media, ...the power apparatus in the US is hellbent on keeping the people’s candidate out of office.

And a massive number of regular Americans are just as hellbent on getting him elected and beginning to hold accountable those who’ve raped and pillaged the American Dream for the past 40-50 years.

Expect us.

No big surprise here.
Quote:
While giving testimony for the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, Fiona Hill, who previously worked in the Trump administration as a Russia expert, related that during her tenure in the administration, she received harassment and death threats over the conspiracy theory she was a “mole” planted by financier and philanthropist George Soros. The smear can be traced back to comments made in May 2017 by Trump confidant Roger Stone, who is currently standing trial on seven felony counts as a result of the special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian interference in 2016 presidential elections.

I long desperately to see this guy in jail for a substantial period. His sexual boasts will be well received in the graybar hotel.

From the following article, Bloomberg would be a horrible president. Apparently, he rebuilt a lot of NY, but he ignored the poor and homeless and inequality grew wider while he was mayor.

As Bloomberg’s New York Prospered, Inequality Flourished Too

Not as horrible as Trump, of course, but outside of Sarah Palin or the Mafia, who wouldn't be worse? His polling is lousy and I can't imagine he has any sort of rah rah contingent outside of the WSJ crowd (and not all of them). His real base is his own ego.

If he manages to displace Biden (I can't see that happening but that seems to be the idea) I suspect that Warren and Sanders will only gain more support as he's much more of a stereotype of what they are campaigning against than Biden is.

With Trump confirming that Erdogan's visit is still on, I just want to remind folks that last time he was here, his goons beat peaceful protesters with impunity in the streets of our national capital.

Nine people were hospitalized. Trump said nothing; https://forum.pictures/trump-loves-dictators-erdogan-is-the-latest-to-take-advantage-of-that/

Let this sink in: there is way more credible evidence that Rep. Jim Jordan covered up a sexual abuse scandal at Ohio State than there is evidence Joe Biden did anything wrong related to Ukraine.

Ain't it so.

@blatham,
I have an account, just so I can follow links there if I need to; otherwise, I ignore twitter. For that matter, lately, I have been ignoring Facebook. I've been trying to limit my computer time so I don't end up wasting half the day or more sitting on my butt (or laying down with my laptop on my belly) on the computer all day. Since I would rather talk about politics...

The following is interesting in my opinion anyway: (The New York Times Magazine)

Inside Adam Schiff’s Impeachment Game Plan

Quote:
"This president, he’s like a planetary object,” Adam Schiff said. “He warps time. And things that you think happened a couple weeks ago, it turns out, only happened a day or two ago.”

Schiff was slumped in a chair in his Washington office, tie askew and eyebrows ruffled, as if he’d been kneading his forehead. It was a little past 5:30 p.m. on the first Friday of October, the end of a week that, Schiff thought, “has been like three years compressed into a week.”

@revelette3,
It can all be rather detrimental to a normal life, for sure.

Twitter is invaluable to me. I follow worthwhile voices and am led to great information sources and new points of view. That said, I view perhaps 1/20th or 1/50th of the tweets from folks I follow.

Once we do away with restrictive leftist laws against carrying guns in public (December can't get here fast enough), Erdogan's goons will likely face defensive fire if they assault someone in our capital.

I'm not trying to give protesters any ideas here, but if Erdogan sics his goons on people again, it would be a shame if a stray defensive shot were to strike Erdogan in the head.
