Quote:James Clapper gave off all sorts of uncomfortable vibes during an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon last night. This was after the news that the investigation into how the Russia hoax against Trump started took a sharp turn. It’s now a criminal case (see report below).
Watch below as Clapper goes into playing innocent and wondering what in the world could be considered a “criminal infraction”:

@Real Music,
Closer to home than they’d ever admit.

As usual this character relies on sources which don't even attempt to hide their partisan leanings but simply tell him what he wants to hear.

Likely this is just more noise to distract attention. But of course, even if so, gotta push the brand.

The brand may not look so hot, nor be so profitable, once a new president is sworn in.
@hightor,
It would be rather funny if they started unloading Trump properties prior to the election.
But you bring up an interesting point. What happens to the value of his empire if he loses? And past that, if he's indicted for massive tax fraud and other crimes? Such real-world considerations surely make it far more likely that he'll do anything/everything no matter how crooked and destructive towards an election victory.
@blatham,
I believe he would inflict actual civil war if possible to hang on to power.

But Clinton would have been just as bad or worse, so... yeah.
How odd. The deficit, now near $1 trillion, has gone up each year Trump has been in office.
Consequently, not a day goes by where some fiscally responsible Republican isn't on his feet in the House or Senate loudly berating this serious threat to America's future economic well-being. Likewise, the folks at Fox Business and the editorial staff at the WSJ. It's a constant din.
I haven't read this New York Review of Books piece yet, but Galbraith is always worth the time

Reminder: when Lesley Stahl asked Trump why he was continuing to attack the press, Trump told her

Trump this morning on Bill Taylor
Quote:"Here’s the problem. He’s a never-Trumper and his lawyer is a never-Trumper."
Taylor was appointed by Pompeo who was personally picked by Trump.
