If you or anyone else is confused as to how a fact that I've presented is pertinent, politely ask for a clarification and I'll explain the relevance.
hightor wrote:It's usually not your facts that are in dispute, it's your conclusions.
If someone wishes to dispute my conclusions, they are free to challenge them. It might actually lead to an interesting conversation.
If they do not actually dispute my facts, then it is dishonest for them to make untrue claims about imaginary instances of me being factually wrong. And it is reasonable for me to counter such dishonorable claims by pointing out my record of accuracy.

No more so than the statements that I am responding to.

If I am making a
factual claim that you find questionable, ask for a cite. Any alleged difficulty of finding proof will be my problem.

If someone does not wish to counter an opinion of mine, then they should just not address that opinion. It doesn't justify them making untrue claims about imaginary errors that I haven't made.
I see all sorts of opinions on a2k that I don't care to address. I just skip on past the post without wasting my valuable time on it.

This name-calling is dishonorable. Shame on you.
