@Builder,
So, what does that have to do with illegal immigration which is what Baldimo was talking about? You just decided to throw it out there for a chance to whack off your strawman argument?

@glitterbag,
Kind of liberal, ya ask me.

Hard to tell from his posts, but I've met him a few times and haven't heard a conservative word pass his lips.

Can you expand on this fantasy of yours?

The FBI were in collusion with Clinton.

You have a problem comprehending this fact?

@Walter Hinteler,
Quote:
COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - Danish politicians on Friday poured scorn on the notion of selling Greenland to the United States following reports that President Donald Trump had privately discussed the idea of buying the world’s biggest island with his advisers.

Trump is due to visit Copenhagen in September and the Arctic will be on the agenda during meetings with the prime ministers of Denmark and Greenland, an autonomous Danish territory.

“It has to be an April Fool’s joke. Totally out of season,” former prime minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said on Twitter.

The notion of purchasing the territory has been laughed off by some advisers as a joke but was taken more seriously by others in the White House, two sources familiar with the situation told Reuters on Thursday.

Talk of a Greenland purchase was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

“If he is truly contemplating this, then this is final proof, that he has gone mad,” foreign affairs spokesman for the Danish People’s Party, Soren Espersen, told broadcaster DR.

@Walter Hinteler,
If Trump is mad to want Greenland, is Denmark equally as mad to want to keep it?

At any rate, it doesn't hurt anyone to proffer an offer. If Denmark chooses to turn down that offer, so be it.

Greenland is an autonomous country of the Kingdom of Denmark - the Kingdom of Denmark is a unitary state with the country Denmark and the two autonomous constituent countries Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

Yeah, I saw that. He's also going to build a great ceiling and make the Martians pay for it.

Greenland is an autonomous country of the Kingdom of Denmark
And thus, Greenland's foreign minister Ane Lone Bagger told Trump (via Reuters) : "We are open for business, but we’re not for sale".

Seriously?

You don't find it majorly bizarre that he thinks he can just "buy" a country?

Hell, why not just offer to purchase the United Kingdom? It gets them out of Brexit...

@neptuneblue,
I was under the impression that Brexit was just a pretext for turning us into the 51st State.

Well it would probably be more accurate to refer to it as buying land.

With Trump putting forth an offer to buy Greenland?

Yes. I'm OK with that.

They may well refuse to sell. But there is no harm in making an offer.
