@eurocelticyankee,
I don't know, but he's definitely Trump's man. He rode the Brexit bus promising to put EU money into the NHS. Now he's going to give the money to the rich and sell the NHS off to American health care providers. At the same time signing a damaging trade deal to buy a load of food that falls far short of European standards.

He's a ******* traitor is Boris Quisling Johnson.

Why is it wrong, he's President of the US, not the world.

@izzythepush,
He's something else alright but nevertheless the other clowns are almost certain to put him in number 10.
It's hard to believe that this is really happening. It's as big a shock as Trump.
In both cases it's the usually centre right wing parties pandering to the ultra right wing elements.
Basically to stay in power and to hell with the consequences.

Halloween is even more scarier this year.

@eurocelticyankee,
At least America had an election.

My hope lies in the likes of Ken Clarke voting no confidence to avoid no deal. He said as much on Radio 4 the other day.

What do you think the center Left is doing? And those consequences would be much worse. Just look at your own country.

@izzythepush,
The hypocrisy is hilarious, they've been banging on about the democratic will of the people, of how the public will lose faith in politics (as if they had any) if Brexit isn't delivered.
Yet here we are 160.000 mainly English people are about to elect the Prime Minister and yet again exactly like Brexit who cares what the people of Scotland and Nth Ireland have to say.

@eurocelticyankee,
Mainly male over 50 and living in the South East of England.

What pisses me off is when they talk down a second referendum because it would stir up the far right. Since when has pandering to fascists been an acceptable argument?

@izzythepush,
Across the pond they pandered to the Tea Party and in the UK they pandered to UKIP.

I always likened UKIP and the Tea Party to cancers infecting the parties and the Conservatives and the Republicans instead of going in and cutting out that cancer they allowed it to grow.
Hence Trump and Boris.

The UK govt is filled with fascists, how else can you have a law which puts people in jail for making comments or posts on FB, that's fascism at it's finest. The social media companies are also becoming fascists, banning content they don't agree with and removing video's which are critical of their platforms.

@eurocelticyankee,
This sounds more like you are talking about the current influx of "democratic socialists"... it's a cancer that should be removed. The DNC has officially become the part of free stuff for votes. Reparations for black people and gays, free college, free healthcare and some have even called for free money for people who don't want to work.

Free stuff like the billions of dollars of tax breaks to the top .1 percent of the population?

No we can not give any more back to the people that are not on the top .1 percent as that might mean that people like Trump might need to used smaller private jets then otherwise.

In a sad way it kind of nice to know that the old mother country is as screw up as the US but at least without the guns.

Sorry to tell you, but tax breaks are people keeping more of their own money. The govt isn't taking the money from poor people and giving it to rich people.

We wouldn't be letting them keep more of their own money, that would be taking from one group and giving it to another person, redistribution. Besides, when a tax break happens, it is given to everyone, not just the top income earners.

That's a weak comment. What makes you think you have any right to someone's else's income, because you think you can spend it better than they do? Much like De Blasio, you just think the money is in the wrong hands...

Nonsense there are roughly ten lobbies for every congress person helping to writing tax breaks for the super wealthy.

It not their money it is our money that is being given to the super wealthy.

Let see in my small area of the nation many hundreds of millions of dollars of local sale tax went in to a sport stadium for one man an to do so the local politicians needed to find a loophole so the public did not get to vote on the matter.

The majority of the politicians who voted for this give away was recall repeat recall out of office after the fact but that did not change the man getting his sport stadium mainly paid for off the back of the citizens.

No it not their money at all.

Fact's proof links?

No it isn't. It's income taxes, that means they get to keep more of the money they made, just like I do when the tax breaks took effect, everyone got tax breaks.

Nice exception to a rule...
Let's also not forget that those stadiums usually bring in tons of tax money from people who use the stadium and come to town for events. How much additional tax money has your city brought in with the new stadium?

Got any links for your claim on the recall votes because of a stadium?

Um, the term "fascism" applies to national governments, not private companies. Liberals are commonly kicked off of conservative media platforms, if you haven't noticed. While there's nothing which requires a private company to post harmful content, like anti-vaccination propaganda, racist screeds, or incitements to political violence, there's nothing stopping anyone from believing what they wish and finding media outlets which will post hate speech and lies.
