I am confident that the Trump Administration will comply with all court rulings.

Colin Kaepernick is guilty of insufficient obsequiousness to whites holding power. That's his crime.

Or maybe people are offended by his demand that black people be allowed to murder police officers with impunity.

The BBC is indeed bad news (pun not actually intended, but I like it).

Ch4 News and the Guardian are pretty good however.

Mandela was clearly a revolutionary. MLK as well. He used non-violence to rapidely and radically solve an issue: segregation. Of course it didn't solve racism but that's not what he set out to do. Likewise for women suffrage, these girls were quite radical too in my view.

I've been listening to recordings of the melee from the Charlottesville march (research for another thread), and some of the nonsense that I've heard includes black people saying that desegregation was a plot to harm black people.

And I thought the reaction to Bill Clinton's crime bill was unfair.

Listening to all of the nonsense from that day has reinforced my view that leftists need to be put in reeducation camps for the good of the nation.

It is long overdue for the US Air Force to inflict some justice on Iran.

There is no evidence that Mr. Trump is guilty of anything.

@Walter Hinteler,

They should all be charged themselves then, for all of the times when they themselves closed down an investigation.

@blatham,

One of the more ridiculous charges that the right has been making against liberals over the last couple of decades is "liberalism is guilty of moral relativism". Obviously, this charge implicitly carries the claim that conservatives hold and follow a set moral code - honest speech, respect for laws and a close adherence to biblical injunctions such as the commandments.

Hardly ridiculous. Look at the way the left said that a $25,000 fine was appropriate when Bill Clinton committed multiple counts of obstruction and conspiracy to obstruct. Now look at the way they are throwing a fit over imaginary obstruction charges against Mr. Trump.

blatham wrote:
How empty and false this indictment of liberalism has always been coming from the right is acutely evident now with their continued support of a:
- serial liar
- who bears false witness every day of every week

I expect that most of the accusations regarding Mr. Trump's supposed lies are actually lies themselves.

Why can't leftists ever learn to stop snooping in people's private lives?

A bit of good news.

Quote:
Two Reuters journalists jailed in Myanmar for their reporting on the Rohingya crisis have been freed.

Wa Lone, 33 and Kyaw Soe Oo, 29 were released after a presidential amnesty. They spent more than 500 days in prison on the outskirts of Yangon.

They had been convicted under the Official Secrets Act and sentenced to seven years in jail last September.

Their jailing was seen as an assault on press freedom and raised questions about Myanmar's democracy.

As he left the prison, Wa Lone told the BBC's Nick Beake that he would never stop being a journalist.

"I'm really happy and excited to see my family and my colleagues. I can't wait to go to my newsroom," he also told reporters.

Both men have families with young children. Wa Lone's wife, Pan Ei Mon, only discovered she was pregnant after her husband's arrest. He has only seen his daughter a handful of times on her visits to prison.

@RABEL222,
Don't confuse Lash and Bernie Sanders. Bernie did the best he could in 2016, including while supporting clearly and unambiguously Clinton when she won the nomination. She lost for all sorts of reasons including some of her own doing, but not because Bernie stabbed her in the back. The guy represents a historic chance for the US left to get back from the cold. Don't scramble it because of some petty sulking.

He is in it for personal gain just like most politicians but I prefer partly honest ones which I don't believe describes Bernie.

That's a cynical outlook if there ever was one.

Bernie Sanders is better than most politicians, and the US is lucky to have him.

Yes indeed, America is lucky to have Bernie. However, many of us want a candidate who can win the next election, but if he becomes the Democratic candidate I'll vote for him.

Thanks for demonstrating (once again) your complete ignorance of what happened last election cycle. Or, perhaps, you're still covering up for HRC's criminal corruption of the DNC. The latter seems more likely.

Almost 350 million people, and Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders is the best you can find>? Really??

No. The nation needs to band together and manage leftists together.

Olivier5 wrote:

I don't have a psychiatric ward.

However, I'm sure the nation can find some sort of remote area to send leftists for reeducation.

How are the winters in North Dakota? That might be a good spot. We just need keep them out of the way until they can be trained to act like human beings.
