@hightor,
Thank you. Great piece. And we need to see this in the context of a whole raft of right wing media operations because he is not unique
Quote:
“As someone who regularly saw his dynamic with others, no one speaks to him like this. [No one] asks these kinds of questions, pressures him to answer, or expects him to remain composed long enough for it to go anywhere productive.”
Who else does this remind you of? It is precisely the sort of situation where bullies are rendered powerless. And it is a big part of the reason Trump's lawyers did NOT want him to testify to the Mueller investigation team.

Quote:
“That’s Alex Jones’s M.O.,” Owens said of the deposition. “To flood any topic with confusion and doubt so no one can grab onto anything.”
This applies equally to Limbaugh, Beck, Levine, Sinclair, Coulter and a hundred others. Most critically at this point in time, it applies precisely to what Trump is always up to.

Quote:
documents reviewed by The New York Times last September suggest the bulk of Mr. Jones’s money comes from his business selling supplement products, allegedly netting more than $20 million in revenue per year
This is how all the high profile right wing media operations have gained their wealth. If not the common nutritional supplements scam, it is gold or bible passages guaranteed to improve your health or the facilitation of your entry into heaven by donating to a pastor who is the only one who can stave off Satan's conquering of the world.

Quote:
But I saw it once before, while covering his child custody trial in 2017, where he claimed that his Infowars persona was “performance art.”
Exactly the same dodge used by Limbaugh and Beck - "I'm just an entertainer"

34% at Trump's Michigan rally were Democrats

Quote:
Brad Parscale, Donald John Trump's 2020 campaign manager, told Jesse Watters last night that 34% of the people who attended the president's rally in Grand Rapids were registered Democrats.

Parscale knows that because people needed to give the campaign their cellphone numbers to get tickets. The campaign then used the information to check their voting record.

A good chunk of those were Hispanics. Oh Oh.

Will you kindly knock off the Mother Hen act — blatham said he bequeathed the thread to others. This has already been pointed out to you.

@hightor,
Sheesh. Perhaps it might help matters if I said a word or two to this poster.

Dear Mr or Mrs Coldjoint
Someone alerted me a while ago that you thought it inappropriate that I was trolling my own thread. You might have a point here. That is, you definitely could be onto something in suggesting I'm trolling. It's the other part I think you are perhaps a wee bit slow to appreciate.

I really don't have a lot of rules about contributions to threads, mine or anyone's. I think I stated that at the outset here. For example, now and again I will post a youtube video of some conservative congressman or Fox personality who managed to get a toilet plunger stuck to his face. Seeing that, you might rhetorically inquire, "How is that pertinent to this discussion?" The thing is, I don't do pertinent. I do impertinent.

I hope that settles the cloud of dust and floating spores that lingers between us like a Heinleinian nightmare.

Sincerely
blatham

And now, back to figuring out how the **** I get the voice recognition system on this new car functioning as needed.

@blatham,

You haave to start with getting it to say "Daddy" (or Da da for the more artistically precocious automobiles).

Does yours have a "language preference"? Ive got mine talking in " Paul Hoganese" .

Why Hasn’t The Media Confronted Obama About The Illegal Spying On The Trump Campaign?

Quote:
FINALLY, this question is getting just a bit of traction in D.C. these days. Earlier this week former Obama Intelligence official, James Clapper, all but put the entirety of the Spygate scandal at the feet of Barack Obama. Yet since that remarkable admission the media hasn’t even uttered the former president’s name in any of its subsequent reporting.

Wonder if that makes media outlets like CNN accessories to a crime?

Bombshell? They need to get on the stick and start asking Obama all about this.

@farmerman,
You are a funny fellow. As this is a 2008 the tech is a bit clumsy. And duplication of functions is quite ridiculous. There are, for example, three different buttons one can push for "enter". The touch screen for navigation is pretty much useless but the other controls are fine. And there are glitches but I'll do work-arounds.

Bolton is a good man to have on the team. He helped stop Al Gore from cheating his way into the White House:

"I'm with the Bush Cheney team, and I'm here to stop the count."

Here is the speech where he put the UN in their place regarding their push for a global gun ban treaty:

The real question is, who wouldn't want him on the team?

A bright spot.

The receipts are in and pro-life film 'Unplanned' ascended to box office victory

Quote:

As Sunday night box office reports are coming in, it's clear that pro-life film Unplanned exceeded expectations for its opening weekend. In fact, it doubled projections.

And despite a near-total media blackout and being slapped with an R rating, not to mention an attempted Twitter sabotage, the film came in fifth overall.

The R rating was to keep girls at the age where unplanned pregnancies happen from seeing it. Many old enough to get an abortion without telling the parents but not old enough to see the movie.
