@coldjoint,
So why would there be any contacts between Russia and the Trump campaign?

It happened under Obama's watch and he did and said nothing.

What exactly was he supposed to do with an election to take place in a couple of months?
Quote:
Republicans need to look no further than the nearest mirror if they’re looking for who to blame for Russian’s attack on the United States. Mitch McConnell refused to do the right thing for his country when the Russians attacked us. Instead, he did what he always does; when asked by President Obama to take a unified stand against Russia, McConnell threatened President Obama.
(...)
“It was Barack Obama who wanted to issue a joint statement condemning Russian election meddling with Republicans, but Mitch McConnell refused to cooperate,” Jason Easley had to explain in response to Trump transition team member and House Intelligence Committee Chair Devin Nunes'(R-CA) absurd suggestion that if the Russians did attack the United States and Donald Trump and the Russian Congress were doing nothing, it was Obama’s fault.

It's not against the law to do lots of things. That certainly doesn't explain why these meetings took place.

The secrecy, the denials, the excuses, and the coverup suggest that the conversations may not have been above board. Over a hundred contacts!
Why?

@coldjoint,
Um, how do you make a bipartisan joint statement if one side refuses?

Obama knew damn well that announcing this by himself would be seen as a cheap stunt to scare voters into supporting Clinton. That points out the difference between past presidents and Mr. Trump. As in announcing a "national emergency" to scare voters into supporting his illegal immigration fixation.

Trump won and is going o win again. There is no climate emergency.

Clearly you don't live n ear a coastline, unlike about 40% of the US population, who know better. Tell that to the people of Puerto Rico, victioms of one of the ever-more-powerful hurricanes, who lived without power for a good part of a year and had to get their water from drainage ditches. Trump lost the actual vote in 2016 and 018. What makes you think 2020 will be different?

@gungasnake,
It's bloc, not block. Democrats out voted RepubliKKKans in 2016 and 2018, we don't need anybody else to do it again in 2020, assuming trump isn't n a federal pen in the Rockies with el Chapo for a cellmate by then.

I want to see McConnell under oath explaining his decision to not inform the citizens of Russia’s interference in our elections.

The Senate says there was no collusion. Apparently the explanations they got were good enough. The Russian hoax is over.
