@wmwcjr,
You dog! But sometimes you 'just can't help it". I'm recalling that phrase from a comedian named George Gobel.

@RABEL222,
That's the safest bet. Trump lies the majority of times. Trying to keep track of when he tells the truth isn't worth the effort.

@blatham,
"They will be hoping that this constant lying along with the bullying nature of how the lies are presented, will "train' media people to be more hesitant in confronting Trump and spokespersons. And they'll be counting on the media to follow its normal behaviors of covering he said/versus she said without attention to the actual facts."

That is my concern.

She was, in the ABC interview, clearly making threats about less access for media also.

This is extremely concerning. As well as the usual failure to answer questions and putting out a cloud of counter accusations and refusing to listen.

@giujohn,
So counselor means LAWYER? No need to accuse people of ignorance...we don't call lawyers counsellors where I live.

@dlowan,
Only sometimes. A counselor can be anyone relied upon for advice. It may, or may not be a lawyer.

@blatham,
If you think Conway is a bully, you're far more of a snowflake than I thought.

Using the same epithets to describe, without discrimination, all of Trump's advisers is intellectually lazy, not to mention childish.

She's a very accomplished woman, but admirable achievements by women and minorities are, of course, only worth celebrating if they reliably support Democrats, just as the vices of public officials only warrant condemnation if they are Republicans.

@roger,
So...this woman is, according to glujohn, supposed to be leading actual legislation formation? As a lawyer?

Then what is she doing as a propagandist?

Is this sort of dual role usual in US politics? Is glujohn just wrong? I know she WAS a lawyer, but how can a person employed as a legal professional also be a propagandist?

I am finding it amazing that a lawyer employed AS a lawyer can do that. I mean, is it not part of their code of ethics that they not tell actual lies that they know to be lies? It is here...they certainly stretch the boundaries of that, but being a frank administration shill would not be seen here as congruent with employment actually as a lawyer.

Certainly lawyers become government shills, but not in their capacity as a lawyer.

Speaking for my own damn self, it just wouldn't be possible for Blathy to be MORE of a snowflake than I think he is.

No kidding! Trump is a pathological liar, and they need a spokesperson to determine they can't be trusted?

Apparently it is often used as a term of address between members of the legal field. There was a very popular TV show called Hill Street Blues where the nice guy police chief and the public defender have an affair and then got married. When they showed the bedroom scenes, the police chief would call his wife "counsellor" as a form of endearment.

She might have a legal degree, but to my knowledge either hasn't practiced for decades or perhaps never practiced. In the USA, many graduates of law schools get hired by companies and end up never seeing a courtroom.

She became known a couple of decades ago at least as a pollster for Republican candidates. From there, she went on TV shows first as a pollster, then later as a political advocate while keeping her polling business going. Although she was good and effective on TV, it was quite a stretch for her to be appointed as Trump's campaign manager since she never had that position before even for lesser offices. She was always the pollster and an advocate for the candidate, never the person who pulled the strings on a campaign.

This clip is from a couple of decades ago. Trump says it's "ridiculous" that Pat Buchanan would run for president because he's a "wacko" that no one would vote for: He anti-semitic, he doesn't like the blacks, he doesn't like the gays, and that he just can't imagine that anyone could take him seriously. Sound familiar?

That's your choice of course, wmwcjr. But it's not a decision I think is either necessary or appropriate. The apology you made is sufficient and frankly damned rare around here. We've all screwed up in this way now and again. I sincerely hope you'll reconsider.

@dlowan,
"This woman" grew up in humble surroundings, the daughter of a single mom who divorced Conway's father when Conway was 3 years old. She graduated magna cum laude from Trinity College Wash. DC with a BA in Political Science. She was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa (America's oldest and most prestigious academic honor society) while at Trinity. She attended Oxford University and earned her law degree with honors from George Washington University Law School.

As noted she practiced law for a short time early in her career and also clerked for Judge Richard A. Levie of the Superior Court in Washington, D.C.

During her career as a "pollster" and political strategist (both in private firms and her own) she worked for 5 or 6 Republican House Members including Jack Kemp, Marsha Blackburn and Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, She also worked for Senators Ted Cruz and Fred Thompson and for Governor Mike Pence.

She was one of the first of a crew of female pollster/strategists to branch into TV news punditry.

She was the first woman to run a Republican presidential campaign and the first woman ever to manage a successful run for the presidency.

She took over the Campaign Mgr position during a particularly rough stretch for Trump and at the same time Steve Bannon took on the Campaign Director position. Together they smoothed things out and the rest is history.

She also sold her soul to Lucifer in 1996 and has worshipped the Prince of Darkness ever since. It is rumored that it was The Devil who first introduced her to another of his more prominent suppliers, Donald J. Trump

She is despised and slandered by just about anyone and everyone who irrationally hates Donald J. Trump, but if you ever saw her on TV you would swear she is an intelligent, soft-spoken, occasionally witty human being, and comparisons to Josef Goebbels would shock and shame you. If you have a chance, watch Showtime's documentary of the 2016 election campaigns called "The Circus." In it she come across as even a nicer human being than she does when being interviewed by hostile journalists. Satan has coached her well.

As one might expect victorious candidates tend to have faith in the political advice of their successful campaign managers and she is on Trump's staff as a political adviser in regards to policy, communications, and the actual game of political hardball played every single day in DC.
While she is a lawyer admitted to practice in several states and DC, I don't believe she will be serving Trump in a legal capacity. There will be other Satan Suppliers serving in those roles.

She is happily married to the man who will be our next Solicitor General (Oooh that sounds shady!) and has four children.

She is a smart, tough and compassionate woman who blatham and Blickers would be praising to the high heavens if she were a progressive...which she most definitely is not.
